MOST UNDERRATED NATIONAL PARK📍👇🏼 This is Yoho National Park in beautiful British Columbia, Canada ⛰️🪻🛶🌲 Only 20 minutes from Banff National Park, Yoho is often overlooked but definitely deserves to be on your bucket list. Don’t miss these spots in Yoho: 1. Emerald Lake 💎 Plan on spending the day here: pack a picnic, your swimsuit, and a paddle board and enjoy one of the most breathtaking places in North America. 2. Wapta Falls 💦 This hike is 3 miles round trip & 410 ft elevation gain. The falls are incredible! 3. Natural Bridge 🪨 An easy 1 minute walk from the parking lot, and a gorgeous view of the rushing waterfall. 4. Takkakaw Falls 💧 A 1.1 mile hike round trip with 255 ft elevation gain. The falls are 991 ft in height, making them the second tallest waterfall in Canada Share this with someone you’d love to explore this magical place with! 💕 #canada #britishcolumbia #yohonationalpark #banffnationalpark

Yoho National Park is often overlooked in favor of more well-known parks like Banff and Jasper. . However, for those who are looking for a more off-the-beaten-path park experience, Yoho is definitely worth a visit. Here are some of the most notable places I had visited over there : 🛣️Trans-Canada Highway: The Trans-Canada Highway runs through Yoho National Park, providing easy access to many of the park’s natural attractions. The highway is a scenic drive in its own right, offering stunning views of the Rocky Mountains. 🏡 Emerald Lake: This picturesque lake is located within Yoho National Park and is known for its emerald green color. You can hike around the lake, rent a canoe, or stay at the nearby Emerald Lake Lodge. Takakkaw Falls: One of the highest waterfalls in Canada, 🌊🌊Takakkaw Falls is a must-see attraction in Yoho National Park. You can hike to the base of the falls or view them from a distance. 🌊Wapta Falls: A scenic hike will take you to Wapta Falls, a powerful waterfall that drops 30 meters. Kicking Horse Pass: The Kicking Horse Pass is a mountain pass that runs through Yoho National Park, offering stunning views of the surrounding mountains and valleys. Spiral Tunnels: The Spiral Tunnels are a marvel of engineering, as they allow trains to navigate the steep terrain of the mountains. The tunnels are located along the Trans-Canada Highway and can be viewed from a nearby viewpoint. There are also many hiking trails, campgrounds, and other attractions within the park itself. Plan your itinerary according to your interests and the amount of time you have available, and be sure to check park information and weather conditions before your visit. If you are going in winter, make sure you know that 1) not much parking space at the trailhead (maybe 8 cars max) so get there early 2) there is a 2km walk from the parking area to the start of the trailhead - then another 2.4 or so km to get to where you can see the falls. The hike is not difficult but it can be time consuming so make sure to bring snacks/water and ice cleats help - especially when you get to the falls. Because we forgot snacks, we did not get to the bottom of the falls which would've been awesome. But the climb back up did not look appealing to us. Come prepared so you can go all the way! Bathrooms only at the start of...

Easy trail. But will be good if u have a hiking stick as the trail may be muddy. Able to access to the bottom of the falls. Great view with snow mountain in the background and bonsai island in the downstream. U can picnic and the bottom of the falls. The falls is wide and full of positive gushing energy. Love it. One of my favourite falls where where is space for everyone to get a good view. 3 view points. Easy to first view pout. Downslope to 2nd and 3rd viewpoint. Be care careful of the cliff near the second viewpoint where there is no fence so don’t go over enthusiastic with your...

Important tip: Don’t just Google “Wapta Falls” — it might take you down a long, pothole-filled gravel road. Instead, search “Wapta Falls Main Trail” for the proper parking lot. Way smoother and much easier on your vehicle!

Now for the hike — it’s a beautiful forest trail that leads to a stunning, powerful waterfall. You’ll hear it before you see it. You can stop at the lookout or take the extra trail down to the base for an up-close view (and maybe a good soaking). The trail can get muddy, so bring decent footwear. Definitely...
