Our recent visit was not good. We bought a $40 box of blueberries (5lbs at $7.99/lb). The top layer looked good, but when I got home to wash them, I realized most of the fruit underneath was squishy, rotting, or mouldy. I don’t know if this was done intentionally or not (nice looking layer of blueberries on top to make people buy them?), but either way, it was extremely disappointing and a total waste of money. I hate wasting food so did my best to wash and sift through the berries, but ended up having to throw out half of the box. So horrible. Staff should pack produce so it won’t get crushed and rot, and produce should be managed so that bad fruit isn’t on display.

To be fair, we did also get some nice peaches and cherries on the same stop. Some of the peaches were a bit green still, but I’ll take that over rotten fruit. Cherries were good (a few with bruises, but this was within a normal level). We spent just under $100 on fruit, thinking we’d bring it back from BC directly so it would be nice and fresh…….. ☹️

Please make sure to gently shift the fruit around a little and give it a good look before buying so you don’t waste your time and money too. There are a decent number of fruit stands in the area and I’ll be inclined to try a few others before returning to this one again.

We stopped here before in a previous year and that experience was good, so hopefully this was a one off. Upsides were that the store hours are good, and the gal at the...

Poor selection and the lady working was rude to me and my kids. They were touching things as most people do at markets and she went “uh uh” to them which they didn’t hear or realize was directed at them given she couldn’t even manage to use actual words and then got even more mad when they didn’t hear and went “excuse me I just said don’t touch” which she didn’t she said “uh uh” I put my items back and left. Head down the road for better selection and polite service. My kids are older also they were at no risk of breaking anything and if they had of broken something I would’ve gladly paid. Learn how to speak to people if you want business. She then whined at the till to my mom about the whole interaction.

Editing to add: it’s been absolutely hilarious to watch you suddenly get all these FAKE 5 star reviews from friends the past week after your two awful reviews. Just solidifies how awful this business is ran. Rather than address issues they bury them with false 5 star reviews. Congratulations you’re not slick and everyone will see right through the fake reviews...

Wonderful Fresh Fruit & Amazing Service!

We had such a great experience at Creston Fruit Market! They had a wonderful selection, and the lady who checked us out was so friendly and welcoming. She even gave us samples of plums and was so knowledgeable about all the fruit in stock.

We picked up blueberries ($5.99/lb), local cherries ($4.99/lb), and Okanagan peaches ($4.99/lb) – such a good deal for the quality. Everything was extremely fresh, perfectly ripe, and nothing was going bad at all.

I saw some older reviews claiming incorrect prices or poor-quality fruit, but our experience was the exact opposite. The prices were accurate, the fruit was fantastic, and the staff went above and beyond to ensure we were happy with our purchase.

Highly recommend stopping here – we’ll definitely be...

The best food market around. They have a wide variety of fresh fruits and vegetables. The staff are very friendly. The fresh bakes goods are amazing. The blueberry pie is a must. You can also get Indian food here! The pickled jalapenos pepperoncini is a must. I also grabbed some Kootenay Cajun dry rub spice which was a great touch to some of my meals back home. I would high recommend you visit if you are in town or passing through.

Such a sweet family that runs the business with really delicious fruit, the strawberries are actually so sweet and ripe! The owner even gave us a strawberry to try before we purchased which was very generous ! We've been hitting fruit stands on our road trip and this one has by far been the best for hospitality and quality of fruit 😊
