Loved this RV Park! Camped here May 2019 in a 33' motorhome. Sites are a very good size, not crowded, some have grassy areas but most are a well packed gravel site. Well maintained, a lot of thought has gone into supplying what are good additions to a park such as a beautiful pavilion for functions, outside barb-q area, a couple of very nice group fire pit areas. There are two large circles that would work wonderful for family or group camping side by side with a central fire pit. Washrooms/shower room is very clean, $1. for a 4 minute shower with good pressure. There are many walking trails some wander to Seal Bay Beach which is approximately 2 km on the trail and the scenery is spectacular. Only one disappointment is the trails aren't clearly marked, they could be much better. Some of these trails are manageable with a mobility scooter, my husband took his, there were a couple of smaller roots that were a bit of a problem but still doable. A very nice surprise are all the beautiful carvings stratigically placed around the park from woodpeckers to bears and more beautiful work in the pavilion. Can hardly wait until our next visit!

Excellent RV Park. This is a family owned and operated park, with the owners in daily attendance on-site. Everything about the Park is high quality. All buildings, sites, roadways, etc. have been properly built to commercial standards. They stay on top of their maintenance. The sites are large and well laid out. Their electrical system is good and not subject to low voltage issues. Wi-fi is available for purchase at a reasonable price (Just under $1/day/device on a 28-day plan) and the bandwidth is more than adequate for streaming video, Zoom meetings, etc. There is a fenced dog run as well as group meeting and campfire areas. The Park borders on the Seal Bay Nature Park, where there are miles of great hiking and biking opportunities. The staff are friendly and helpful.

Seal Bay RV Park is a good place to stay. It's clean friendly and in a great location. The laundry facilities are modern and in good condition, $3.00 wash and $2.50 dry. Seal Bay recreation trails are just down the road but you can access one of the trails from the RV park property. There are a variety of camp sites, group, pull through, and back in. Public washrooms and shower are nice and clean. Showers are coin operated. It is a convenient distance, 10 min drive, to Comox/Courtenay for shopping or whatever you need. If fly fishing is your thing then bring your rod and flies because they have a pond just for that, not sure how much it costs though. There are fire rings and wood available to purchase. Wheelchair accessible and pet friendly

Take seriously about what others have stated in their reviews about the front office staff-we encountered it first-hand.

Recently cancelled a reservation made in Sept 2024 for this September, because we did not want to risk losing our site booked in the trees and end up in the circle of no-shade, no-privacy like we did last time. When we called to confirm our site number, the woman on the other end of the line, from the office, stated not once, but twice within a breath that our site could not be guaranteed. Finally catching on to what she was saying, I asked for more details as to why and was told that because we were booked into a 50 Amp site and don’t have this power requirement, we would be bumped if someone came along looking for a 50 Amp site. So, we booked a full year in advance, in the site we wanted because it was beside the rest of our camping group, but if someone came along at the last moment and needed 50 Amp service, we would get bumped and they would get a choice site….okay, no okay. But…they do declare this on their reservation confirmation at least twice, so they are transparent about it if not fair....but why not just restrict the 50 Amp sites for those that need it so that you don't have to move people around and disrupt their plans, especially if they are camping with others?

So based on what we perceived as advance notice on us not getting the site we booked (why else would she bring it up so often in the convo?) we decided to cancel our reservation and go elsewhere, but this is when things got ugly. All we wanted to do was to cancel our reservation and understood that there is a penalty for doing so. This was all fine with us, but to say that the woman in the office was defensively obnoxious is an understatement.

If you can't be pleasant or even business-like and deal with the fact that someone doesn't want to stay at your RV park because the site they booked a year ago can't be guaranteed, then stick to cleaning the washrooms. And if you can't handle someone raising their voice because you are constantly interrupting and flat-out trying to reinvent what you said 5 mins ago, then stop trying to manipulate the narrative. And when someone asks for your name because this customer service experience has been off-scale appalling, be brave, own your bad behaviour and tell people your name. Finally... don't threaten retaliation when a customer indicates they will be leaving a poor review based on the interaction; all this does is confirm that you are ill-mannered, boorish and don’t understand your role in customer service.

We won't go back to Seal Bay RV and this is okay because it's only redeeming quality was that it is close to the Seal Bay Nature Park and well, you can use the public parking for the park and stay in one of the many other RV camps...

We will not again stay here. While we would not have chosen to be put into the fish bowl of a group site, it was lucky as there were standing dead, danger trees throughout the treed sites. Any of them could fall during a wind storm, so common on the Island. if you are EMF sensitive, you do not want to stay here as there is a huge cell tower right next to the campsites and WIFI repeaters at every 3rd site. Cell towers provide a good income to the property owner. While there, several people remarked how their dogs were inexplicably irritable and aggressive. Recycling was restricted to those items for which deposits are returned. No plastics. Despite being spitting distance to a cell tower, texts and emails from my phone were blocked even with data, until I purchased WIFI. The trash bins were overflowing for 3 days before being emptied, potentially attracting bears which then can become habituated and then killed for being a 'nuisance.' Overall, a poorly run campground with an obvious priority of generating income rather than a balance of interest in business, safety, environmental stewardship and a pleasant...
