Very disappointed in a business we have been frequenting since we moved up here. Dessert Hills in Ashcroft has gone down hill and fast. False advertising and shady business practices. To top it all off after they admit their mistake, what do they do? Block me! I was not going to do a public bash of them but now I have to. Be warned. The sale you are driving all the way to ashcroft for is not as advertised. Lost leader kind of thing. You will end up paying 3 times more $$$$$.

What are you talking about? I was respectful and only stated facts. Just because someone calls you out on your wrong doing does not constitute mistreatment. Did you read the message thread? The only party being rude in those message was your staff. An apology was made for your mistake in over charging us. Reimbursement of the self admitted error was what was needed to be done. I work hard for the money I earn to then drive 1.5 hours to spend at your establishment. The mistreatment and rudeness of your staff or who ever runs your social media is unacceptable.
This is a moral issue and you are the ones who are in the wrong. False advertising..... you should not be over challenging customers. Why should I pay for your mistake?
Trying to switch the narrative to make yourself out as victim is ridiculous. I suggest reading the...
Read moreWe highly recommend this place!!! This place has horses you can pet in their stalls, and goats, miniature poneys and lamas you can pet and feed for $2.50 a small bag of feed (1 bag per child is amply sufficient). They sell a wide variety of ice cream (probably nearing 30 different flavors) so it's great that there are kids' games on-site including bouncy castles / slides, bean bag toss, ..., everything you need to tire out the kids after feeding them some of that wonderful ice cream in the Desert-like heat. They have chicks and bunnies for sale. And lots and lots of fruits and vegetables for sale; some grown at Desert Hills Ranch, some grown locally, and some imported (we tried dragon fruit for the first time). And to top it all, they have very friendly staff, competitive pricing and outstanding festive latin music while you shop. Great place to spend a couple hours with the family and pickup some real organic fruits and vegetables while supporting...
Read moreWe stopped in today on our way home to the lower mainland. What a great place! There are hay sculptures of dinosaurs and the Simpsons. Christmas decorations. A petting zoo. A bouncy castle - wish there was a place like this when my kids were small. If I can make one suggestion, grab a wagon on your way in. Don't kid yourself. Once you are in there you will realize that there is NO WAY you will be able to carry all the wonderful things that you want in your arms. The produce is so fresh and there is such a variety. The prices are so good. For instance, I paid $3.99/lb for green peppers in Burnaby last week. They were $.50/lb there! Apples were 5 lbs for $3.99 and they had at least 10 varieties. The staff were really friendly and helpful as well. (the bathrooms were immaculate). This will be a destination stop whenever I'm on Hwy 1 heading past Ashcroft. And, yes, I am jealous of those who...
