Northern Saunas — Local services in Boucherville

I would strongly caution buying from this company. My experience was horrific from start to finish. I approached the salesperson with a very clear time frame, as I was purchasing a sauna from one company and a cold plunge from (possibly) them. I was very direct in what I wanted, as I needed something with a certain size requirement. The cold plunge I wanted needed to fit a certain space (naturally) and once I chose one, I triple checked timelines, as the company I ordered my sauna from (AMAZING EXPERIENCE by the way - The Sauna Shoppe in Ancaster), also had a cold plunge I was entertaining but I liked the "look" of this one more.

There was a lot of pressure to "pay right away" to ensure I got my order, and "oddly" enough, the day after I paid I was emailed to tell me my timeline of March would be pushed to April. I was ok with this, so I continued anyway. Not a word, peep, email, nothing and when April passed, I reached out and it took almost a week for the correspondence to continue. I did not receive my cold plunge until MID JUNE! I just got it yesterday. 3 months delayed from original date, 2 months delayed from the time they finally validated my shipment, not a word in between other than an email to "track my own package" after bombarding them with emails.

When Fed EX called me, they asked ME to unload my own order! I am 110 lbs and 5 foot 1 inch. This is a massive shipment, and they notified me that the delivery was essentially for me to get it off the truck, bring it inside. I was very, very forward with the sales representative that I wanted the cold plunge delivered inside my house. I called customer service multiple times, left messages, not a single word or call back from them. It took 3 days for Fed Ex to figure out how to get the shipment off the truck and were going to leave it at the bottom of my driveway (my house as a 10 car tandem long driveway) as this was the instructions from Northern Saunas. Still, after leaving messages, calling multiple times I still have heard nothing back.

Their service is rotten, follow up is terrible, they take your money and then never to be heard from again.

I read reviews prior saying their service after the "payment" was lazy and I shouldn't have ignored that just because the service up front before they got my money was good (just like other reviews on reddit stated),

I can't even tell you if my cold plunge is good because its still in my driveway and I have to pay a company $400 to get it into the house.

Service matters just as much as a product, this company clearly has zero service after they take your money. I would look elsewhere. I would definitely call Stefan Ruff at The Sauna Shoppe and it's the biggest regret that I didn't order from him. His service was impeccable (owner) and even came to ensure once it was delivered, installed that it was functioning great (TO MY HOME!).

I couldn’t be happier with my Terra S Deluxe Outdoor Cabin Sauna from Northern Saunas. It’s honestly one of the best investments I’ve ever made for myself and my family. From the second it showed up, it completely changed how I start and end my days. The build quality is next level. Everything from the black Thermo-Pine exterior to the dark alder walls inside feels intentional and solid. It’s beautiful, clean, and simple in a way that makes you want to slow down and just be present.

I love the space it gives me. It’s the perfect size. Big enough for a group but also feels personal when it’s just me. The L-shaped benches are comfortable, the LED lighting under the bench sets the whole vibe, and the insulation is so good that once the heat locks in, it stays steady the whole time. I didn’t realize how much of a difference true craftsmanship makes until I actually experienced it myself.

The experience with Northern Saunas couldn’t have been smoother. They made the entire process easy, from picking the right sauna to making sure every single detail was taken care of. They really went out of their way to make sure I felt supported, not just like another sale.

I also have to shout out Gabe from Northern Sauna. He took the time to really walk me through the sauna experience itself. He taught me how to use different temperatures depending on how I’m feeling, how to use essential oils safely, how adding water to the rocks changes the humidity, and why all those little adjustments matter. That education has made a huge difference. Since using it consistently, I’ve noticed my skin is healthier, my cardio recovery is better, and my overall mood feels way more steady. It’s been more than just a luxury. It’s something that’s genuinely improving my life.

I loved working with Northern Saunas during the order process, they answered all my electrical questions and shipping updates. I have to say, using our Clearlight Sanctuary 2 has been a game changer and even paid for itself in the past year by healing my body and brain. My whole family got sick from mold exposure in our very moldy home (we had mold on all levels, basement, main floor, second floor and attic) and we could not afford for all of us to see a specialist, just for our younger and sickest. We decided to invest in a Clearlight because it would help with detoxing from the mold mycotoxins for the rest of us, my husband, older son and me. I have to tell you I was so sick I was always tired, I have CIRS, which is high inflammation response, and I had brain fog and fatigue. I was doing a part time job in social work which did not pay well, but I figured it was the best I could do at the time. After two months of doing the sauna at least 3 times a week, I began to feel the brain fog lift and got my confidence up that I could find a better paying job, I got a job that was full time and paid me 3 times as much as I was making before. I think it helped me with detoxing, inflammation and increase immune response. I have not been sick. Here in the U.S., we are not told how IR saunas can be a wonderful part to stay healthy and heal.
