Staff are friendly enough, but many aspects of the business seem to be fly-by-night. There also seems to be a lot of effort placed on marketing and online reputation management (like studiously replying to reviews), and very little on facility maintenance and operations.
The âtourâ was a waste of a drive. No value on our side our theirs. We gained no new information that wasnât already available online, and they paid zero attention to our dog, his temperament, etc.
In general, there doesnât seem to be any care placed in qualifying the pets for boarding. Our dog didnât get to interact with anyone on the tour. No one looked at our forms. I had to fill them out TWICE (somehow they lost the first one?) and they took my dog in without so much as a glance.
None of the things we booked were honoured. Primary reason that this was not a 1 star review is that the staff were honest enough to not charge us extra. But we had requested reports, the âdoggy condoâ and the additional play and stay package. None of these things happened, and no one had an explanation as to why.
while this may not be important for dogs, the entire facility looks like an abandoned sanitarium. It doesnât seem like any care is taken to maintain the facilities. The âgrooming roomâ looks like a torture chamber, with dim lights, dirty floors, and a grooming table so rusted it should be in a landfill. And the smell is significantly worse than a non-for-profit animal shelter.
I donât doubt that the owners and employees are good people and have good intentions. But there are a lot of things that need to be fixed...
Read moreI booked my cat into Furry Friends for 5 days while I was on vacation. One thing I really appreciated was their quick response time and their willingness to accommodate my last minute booking. The facility itself is spacious, clean, and well-maintained, so I was comfortable leaving my pet there.
That said, I was disappointed by the lack of communication regarding my cat's well being. I was told that I would receive regular posts on their social media to keep me updated on how my cat was doing, but after two very vague pictures, the posts stopped entirely. They continued to post pictures of the dogs, but there had been no updates of any of the cats there. When I reached out for an update, I was told that they prefer to leave the cats undisturbed due to the high volume of clients coming and going, which was causing the cats to become stressed. The issue is that the cats are kept directly behind the reception desk, where theyâre constantly exposed to noise and activity.
As a pet resort, I believe it's important for them to prioritize the comfort and well-being of all animals in their care. I would have felt much more at ease if there had been a dedicated, quieter space for the cats, away from the bustle of the reception area, to help reduce their stress and make their stay more enjoyable. While I appreciate the overall quality of the facility, I think they could have done more to make the catsâ experience more peaceful and...
Read moreUpdate April/2025: I rave all the time about how grateful I am to have found FFPR to anyone who will listen. Our Cooper is a 2 yr-old carrying ~120 lbs of pure energy. Heâs a LOT and heâs proven much more difficult to train than any of the 6 labs we have owned over the years. This lab/golden cross has been a challenge we might have had to give up if not for Furry Friends Pet Resort, which amazingly, just keeps improving. They have added enrichment activities to their menu and are Fear Free Certified. They always go the extra mile to help if you need special or last-minute accommodations. All of the staff are fantastic and they employ an experienced groomer extraordinaire. We call FFPR his home away from home.
I canât say enough great things about Furry Friends Pet Resort and their staff. The facilities are terrific, the staff are beyond excellent! You can purchase yummy snacks for nap time. Itâs awesome! We considered one and tried another doggy daycare that came highly recommended to us prior to signing Cooper up at FFPR and it just wasnât the best fit for Cooper. And if there is a service they donât offer I canât imagine what it would be. FFPR is the best of the best!!! Cooper is thriving there. He LOVES it...
