Duntroon cider is one of the top ciders I have ever tasted. You get the full taste of the apple, with no added sweetness or preservatives. Having purchased Duntroon cider at the local LCBO and loving it, I was really excited to visit the cyder house when I was passing through the area but was left disappointed. They only have the same two kinds of cider as those sold in the LCBO (one of the two was sold out during our visit). The tasting is expensive for the very little amount you get. All this was after having to make two trips as the first time we went they were closed, despite it being during their operating hours and the women on the phone saying someone would be returning shortly (we waited for 45 minutes for no one to come). We first went to the cidery as part of a bachlorette this past summer and the owner Kimberly was knowledgeable and friendly and the paired foods with the cider was awesome. Kimberly was so accommodating with our group, and we felt relaxed in the gazebo. We went again later in the fall with friends and had yet another wonderful experience. A chicken and waffles stand was set up by the pond and we enjoyed lunch and cider. We still have a jar of the homemade pickled garlic we picked up there that have been adding to our charcuterie boards.
