Agar's Corner — Local services in Corman Park No. 344

Do not get this guy to do your wedding venue. He is extremely nice when meeting, very laid back, but this is where you get in trouble, When planning, he always says "don't worry, it will be ok, it will get figured out" and so on, but it doesn't. He has GREAT food, but his management skills are terrible. I had to constantly remind him of the services he was supposed to provide me (told him 3 times I needed actual plates, he barely remembered), and he didn't remember to serve us all of our food, and forgot about many important details of our wedding (didn't properly clear the ceremony area of tree branches, so I had to enter from a different spot at the last min, throwing off our timing). This is just the stuff that we, the couple knew about.

He also got drunk immediately after serving our supper (and admitted he always gets drunk at HIS OWN FUNCTIONS). He drank from our bar without asking or paying and was the second drunkest person at our wedding. Every time we met with this guy to plan things, he was drinking or offered us a drink. THEN, he tacked on an extra $500 to the bill the day after (because he never got our bill to us until then) and then took off to the lake before we could even discuss it, leaving all his dirty dishes and junk sitting outside the venue (not a problem for us, but EW). This guy is a borderline con man, and this story is not the only one like it; I have spoken to TWO other couples with almost EXACT same experiences. Great food, but it's NOT WORTH IT. Agar’s Corner - where do I begin.. My husband and I got married out there June 22, 2019. We met Don over a year before the date, and we are beyond fortunate that we did! Don and Carmen provide incredible hospitality. We felt like family to them. Don allowed us to set-up on Thursday morning and stay through Sunday for clean up. Our wedding was supposed to pour rain all day, and he told us that he would do anything to help us out. Luckily the rain cleared, and the day turned out to be perfect just in time for the ceremony in his beautiful yard. I wanted to bring in home-made deserts and cookies, and he was more than willing to allow for it. He was never not once pushy with decisions, and let Chris and I steer the boat. Through out the wedding night he made sure plates were cleared, and the venue was looking great. We became friends with Don, so we were pleased when he came out to the dance and celebrated with us, and our guests were too. We’ve heard nothing but praise from our guests about the entire vibe of the wedding, the incredible venue, the AMAZING food, and Don and his team. If you’re a family driven couple, want great service, and friendship.. reach out to Don, he’ll be sure to take care of you. It was absolutely amazing.

Just had 50 people there for an anniversary party. People loved the venue. Rustic cabin feel with a big stone fireplace. Very cozy and welcoming. Roast beef dinner was fantastic. We had the whole inside and outside patio area plus a big grassy area for family photos. Kids played in the grassy area and had a blast running around. Such a great place for a family event. We...
