I've heard it before, "I'm not a gin drinker." Well, I'm not a gin drinker either, unless it comes from Black Fox Distillery on Valley Road. This is not some mass-produced, lighter-fluid the liquor store sells as gin. No no....this is the gin you drink because there is a special moment to share with someone. It's the gin you drink when you are introducing someone to gin for the first time so they will forever have a high standard. It's the gin you drink because nothing else will do...

Black Fox has an assortment of gin from which to select. You will be fine with any of them. I prefer my gin on the rocks (see photo) if I'm pulling the bottle off the shelf, or, straight up if the bottle has been kept in the freezer (proper storage for gin and vodka). You want it to be slightly chilled.

Once you've poured yourself a glass of juniper elixir, take a moment to swirl it in your cup. Inhale the botanical complexity of this product, and picture the pumpkin flowers infused in it's taste bouquet. Then, have a sip of that smooth, warm liquid and enjoy it as it glides down toward your heart and hugs you...

Our trip to Black Fox was a fantastic afternoon trip! Megan was such a joy to learn from and chat with during our tasting. The surrounding grounds, especially with the new flower garden, are a beautiful place to escape the city for a drink. Regarding their gin products, I absolutely cannot pick a favorite!! Each of their varieties has a distinct, but very real, authentic flavor that only comes with the highest standard of care given to each and every batch of gin they produce. There is a reason they've already won so many awards! That being said, whether they win awards or not, they should be very proud of the products they have achieved. You can tell the difference just after one sip how lucky we are to have Black Fox Distillery as another representative of world class...

I had an absolutely phenomenal experience at Black Fox Farm and Distillery. With my wedding only 4 days away, my bridesmaids and I were on the hunt for flowers around Saskatoon and surrounding area. On a total whim, we decided to check out this establishment, late after hours, no appointment, in hopes to pick some of their gorgeous florals. Barb greeted me with such warmth and hospitality in the middle of her evening, and in her total kindness, allowed a bride in a tight situation to collect some of her beautiful peonies. For this reason, Black Fox Farm and Distillery has my long-term business. They are built on a foundation of kindness, and I highly recommend enjoying a visit to their beautiful establishment.
