
The farmers market here in the summer is great, so many local vendors. Since covid, most of them now have card payment available, do don't worry about going down if you don't have any cash handy. The food trucks are awesome too, in particular the Munch Room vegan food truck (try the breakfast sandwich) and there's another truck that specializes in coffee and drinks, so you're all set for produce shopping with a hangover. Roots Rising is the star of baked goods at the market and you'll want to check out the mushroom tent for a great selection and fair prices on assorted mushrooms. The volunteers really make the market run, from putting up all the signage and line up markers to helping keep order and answer questions, so be kind and generous, good manners...

Our main reason for visiting every Saturday morning is because that's where you'll find our local Comox Valley Farmers' Market, which I rate at 5 Stars! The yearly CV Exhibition takes place at the end of Aug, the Rib-Fest in Fall (not to be missed) often takes place here, plus the Curling Club is housed on the grounds. Top all of that off with the volunteer org that sells fixed up used Bicycles at really good prices in aid of the Therapeutic Riding Society, which takes up the one corner with their own Horse track. There are no sales before 9am, and they actually have a bell to start purchasing!
