Great little place to stop for takeaway. Staff are incredibly friendly and helpful. We ordered the fish and chips to take with us on our journey and they did not disappoint. The fish are beer battered and the fries have a crispy coating as well. Looking forward to trying more from the menu but if fish and chips were the only thing offered we would still be coming back! Update 2023: arrived right at opening, waited 40 minutes for food, food was really good, not sure if it was entirely worth the time though. Milkshakes not anything special and would not recommend (the unicorn came without the nerds and with stale cotton candy). Fish and chips remain outstanding.

Was camping at Salsman Provincial Park, a friend had raved about their fish and chips, do we ordered take out for dinner. It was amazing, my wife had the fish and chips, and really enjoyed the batter on the fish. I chose the fish tacos they were the best I've ever had in Nova Scotia. They were great and the portion was huge. We will be back for sure.

Even though you are far from everything in this corner of Nova Scotia. The Smokey Hollow has a nice selection of products in addition to being a liquor store. And a restaurant from Thursday to Sunday. We ate very well there!

Amazing takeout at some of the most reasonable prices I've seen in a long time. Quality and quantity - the poutine alone is the size of a meal. The burgers are delicious, and the fish tacos come with a very generous portion of fish and a deliciously tangy spicy pickle mustard sauce that works so well as a "salsa". Would highly recommend this place to anyone who is visiting Country Harbor. Very friendly service as well. The only downside was we went on a hot summer day and there is no shade in the picnic table area, umbrellas would have been nice - but the food was well worth the price and the wait. It kind of looked like they had plans to build some sort of gazebo or shelter in the future, so locals have that to...

EDIT: Thank you, we appreciate your response.

The last time I came here I had a great experience, but this time it was totally different. They were serving a fraction of the menu, but we still waited over 2 hours for our food (half of which arrived cold).

The absolute worst part: The staff never once apologized, nevermind offer us any compensation for our long wait.

We thanked the person who eventually brought us our food and they didn't say one word. We were all so disappointed as we had previously enjoyed our time here.

They make good food here, but unfortunately the customer service needs some...
