I think this is my favourite Muskoka golf course. I played it a week ago and it was in excellent condition. Even the tees were in good shape which is often not the case at most courses, come September. The layout is quite pretty with many mature white pines lining the fairways. I like the fact that if you miss the fairway you can generally find your ball and manufacture some sort of shot rather than having a lost ball. This course is WALKABLE! There aren’t many 18 hole Muskoka courses like that. Holes 12-16 are my least favourite, as they feel and play a little hemmed in. With parallel fairways going in opposite directions, you may have to interact with golfers on another hole. It is always fun to return for a round at Windermere. This summer I believe it was member only during July and August. The day my foursome played, the pace of play was quite good.

The course is in great shape! As i arrived there were not enough carts for our foursome therefore 2 of us walked. The staff were not very friendly and the food was very limited. Parking is limited and be mindful of the pine tree sap... The hotel/ pub was great! All in all the hotel and restaurant is great. The course is well kept!

Beautiful golf course, terrific northern course, challenging but not overwhelming. Worth a round in spring or fall when non-member paying rounds allowed.

Very nice course very friendly staff lots of parking lots of room to accommodate large golf gatherings nice club house need to phone couple days in advance to book tee off time. Prices are competitive to other courses around area. Course very challenging for all levels of golfers....
