Absolutely stunning from the entrance of the parking lot to the main falls! Trail is mostly flat with little elevation gain at the end if you want to see the big falls from the top around the back, one bathroom, trail has evergreens and also a lot of roots and beautiful boulders throughout once you reach the beginning of York River and keep going towards the main fall.    Read moreHigh falls is one of the best hikes I have done! It's not a very long venture bit it is beautiful. The first part of the trail is through a hallway of trees, before it opens up to walking along the river side.
I would highly recommend going during all seasons - the falls are super intense in the spring after the melt. Wear good shoes and be cautious if there is snow.
