Thank you so much for your wonderful care of our Chloe! She is very tired, but so are we from our trip, so it is lovely to all be home together and relaxing from our fun holidays! It was so exciting to watch her run up to us from "the barn" when we came to pick her up, obviously happy and healthy. We were told she'd be tired for a day or two once she came home, from all the running and playing she had enjoyed for her 5 day stay, and you are correct! She has found her sunny spot on the floor and has literally passed out!
Our initial tour convinced us that yours is a well run establishment. Your team introduced us by name (and nature) individually to all your guests already at camp - what fun! How impressive that your team could speak easily about each camper, and how they observed initial interactions between ALL the dogs to ensure a great start. When we dropped Chloe off a couple of days later, we were so surprised that she didn't even look back as we left!!! She was much more intent on getting to her new friends.
I have to also add that your rates are VERY reasonable when you consider the quality of care, the EXTREMELY CLEAN and comfortable accommodations, and particularly your program using animal group theory - not one single chain link run or cage/kennel used was something I was very impressed by. All that room to run, to play and to rest was amazing.
Thank you to your entire team of PROFESSIONALS. We were so impressed during the first tour right through to the moment we picked Chloe up, and truly appreciated all the communication in between (you responded to our emails so quickly, wonderful peace of mind for us), we could not have asked for a better experience.
Now that we have found your awesome doggy destination, we will be sure to pass along your info to friends and family - folks are ALWAYS looking for quality care for their beloved pets, and clearly Camp Cookstown is the place for furry family members.
Thanks again, Bob and...

Safest place I’ve ever seen to leave your dog over night The BEST care I’ve EVER heard of OR seen is taken of your dog Competitive if not the BEST rates I’ve ever paid or found THE MOST AMAZING STAFF EVER. You would have to be a real piece of garbage to rate them anything less then 5*
I’m obsessed with dogs, I spent 800$ getting a cane corso tattooed to my arm. When I tell you I LOVE this place for the service and quality of care it provides. Please understand I’m not being dramatic and I know none of these people personally.
I know them for what they are, the trend/ standard setter for dog daycare everywhere in Ontario. My dogs mean the world to me and I would never trust them with anybody else except camp cookstown. My in laws are great, my folks are lovely. But the atttion to detail, the work invested, the proof is in the pudding so to speak. These people are the most professional buisness I’ve seen yet handeling animals over night.
I can go on for ages, but I need to get back to work. I just realized I’ve yet to leave a review and to compensate for that I wanted to be more detailed then is needed. Never had a problem, never had a worry, when I screwed up and didn’t bring enough of my dogs special food, the staff not only communicated this to me in a Timely manner, but they also sourced and provided the food they needed till I was back, I saw no charge extra on my bill for that incredible customer service.
I will only come here, I don’t care if I have to drive 3 hrs or 30min. These people love there job, there incredible at it, and I promise you won’t...
Read moreTwo of my three dogs (the two big ones) have in the past had a wonderful time at Camp Cookstown BUT the last time my dogs stayed there, they came home with hook worm and giardia (aka explosive diarrhea). It isn't the first time they have come home and gotten sick shortly after, but it was the first time it was a very serious illness - both were rushed to an emergency vet when I woke up to blood and diarrhea all over the house. I thought for sure one of them was going to die, but after an expensive vet trip and a ton of medicine (which they will go on for round two tomorrow), they got better after about a week (a week of cleaning up explosive diarrhea). After getting over the horror of waking to a bloody mess, I emailed the camp to tell them how sick the dogs were and explained that there is no doubt the illness was from the camp as it is the only time my little dog (who didn't get even slightly sick) isn't with the big dogs. I gave them the cleaning recommendations the vet had given and asked what preventative measures can be taken at the camp to ensure that it won't happen again. Please note, I wasn't angry with them, and I'm still not, but because I received no response to two emails asking for information about how they will prevent this from happening again, I feel its my duty to let others know about this experience as I'm uncertain any measures are being taken to prevent this from happening again, and it was awful for my dogs...
