Location & parking: easy to find, there is a sign, and there is plenty of free parking. Washroom: there is a brand new washroom, very clean, and serviceable. Accessibility: this site has some stairs on one side, but is wheelchair accessible from the other side, and the washrooms are wheelchair accessible. Worthwhile? Absolutely! There is a ton of interesting information in site, the guns are still in place, and the tunnels are very cool to walk through.

An historic military monument from WWII, with decommissioned guns and bunker with a view on Bay of Gaspé. For a moment, I stood next to the gun and watched the sea with my binoculars (my own, none provided). I joked I spot a U-Boat (the place was built to watch for U-Boats).

I visited Fort Peninsula and had the place all to myself. It’s a very short visit, but if you take your time to read all the information provided, it takes about 30 minutes. The fort is nestled in a peaceful location, offering a quiet retreat into history. The displays are informative, and the site is well-maintained. However, it might not be worth a long trip unless you’re a history enthusiast or in the area. A nice spot for a quick...
