Holt's Take Out! The Mecca of delicious pizza, fish n' chips, milkshakes, soft serve ice-cream and more! Growing up in Brookside, this is where Pizza came from. Whether it was at a friend's birthday party or a special occasion at home or a pizza party at school, Holt's pizza was it, and it was incredible! The Holt's and all their cooking staff really knew the right combination of good sauce, dough, cheese, toppings, and the magic transformation that took place when those pizza slid into the ovens. I swear the pizza was always best when we were a little bit late picking them up, and the boxes waited stacked on top of the industrial cookers where the cheese would congeal, and the pizza would go from piping hot to the perfect warm temperature. I think something about pizza spending time in a cardboard box always makes it better than eating it fresh out of the oven, on a plate! I now live in Italy. I've tasted some of the most renowned pizzas in the world. None of them are as good as Holt's Take Out pizza. People told me the pizza is not like it used to be, but I was back home a couple of years ago and in my opinion, it was still fantastic! The fish and chips were also delicious! Not sure if they still serve soft-serves, but everything they had was wonderful. This was the corner store we used to bike up to as kids to buy bags of Hostess potato chips and cartons of Beep orange drink. Great spot and great family that ran it for years. A good firs job for many people in the community, including my wife who used to treat me to the delicious milk shakes when I came over to visit from the Esso. The way to a man's heart is certainly through his stomach :) They also had a very convenient video rental section for years, and a brief seating area for a couple of years. Pretty sure Jay and Silent Bob used to stand out front of this place. In my opinion, this was the heart of the Brookside community, and also the center of town. The crossroads between work, school, city, and home....

So i had ordered my dinner last night they ran out of a product failed to inform me of this allowed me to drive 15mins for my son to have no dinner on the order, coste a ridiculous amount of money got completely terrible service while I was there and when I called to speak with the manager instead of offering even an apology for the lack of service they provided I got told maybe I'm not the customer for them and hung up on !

I have never had to deal with someone so unprofessional, rude and out right disrespectful to their customers.

Never buy there food or deal with them if you don't have too.

Unless you would like to be hung up on and have terrible customer service. Beyond grossed with this store as I have been going since I was a kid. Never again Keep that service up and the store...

I will never EVER walk through these doors again. I will also make sure I tell everyone I can reach why not and to encourage they never go there either.

Long story short...owner accused my 10 year old Daughter of lying about 2 bottles of Powerade. She knows to never drink anything if a seal is already broken. Both bottles she picked out had neck seal broken. We went back inside to explain and exchange. He argued to the point that it upset my Daughter. The power of social media will...
