Quite a bit more hiking and less dramatic than the neighboring island but beautiful, and interesting plant life, Trout lillies, pitcher plants, and lady slippers in June. Its a 600m hike to the formations and probably another 200m to the red chairs and the same back. Rangers take you on a longer hike. Pit toilets all around.

Magnifique endroit pour aller se détendre et se prélasser sur le bord de l’eau ou bien devant un bon feu de camp. Propice à la marche dans de très beaux sentiers aménagés (bien sûr faire attention aux marées). Visite des monolithes très agréable. Rester quelques jours est l’idéal et il est possible de le faire en tente oTENTik à un coût bien raisonnable. C’est vraiment très bien comme installation! Je recommande.

TRÈS BELLE ÎLE !! On était pas sure au début puisque toutes les excursions amenant aux îles les plus populaires étaient pleines, mais aucun regret ! C’est une très belle île avec de très belles randonnées ! La randonnée faisant le tour de l’île vaut vraiment la peine même si elle est longue ! Conseil : commencez par celle-ci et revenez par la plus petite pour faire une randonnée style boucle !

Managed by Parks Canada Nice trails and the rangers offer a tour with great commentary on the plant life More info can be found at this bilingual...
