We booked the City Cruise tour from Ivy Lea. The prices were fair for two people, but when we arrived at the boat launch, we were shocked by how many people were boarding the ship. There had to be a couple hundred people that they were trying to cram on board! When we looked in the parking lot, we saw three tour buses there, which answered our question of why it was so busy. We did not board the boat as we felt claustrophobic already trying to board; I cannot imagine how it felt on board. We were disappointed that we were not able to see the coastline, but we decided that it would be better for us to just enjoy our afternoon elsewhere. I believe that they must have oversold this time slot as there is no way there could be that many people on a boat for each time slot. If so, it wouldn’t be worth it in my opinion. We booked a 3:30 pm time slot on a Saturday afternoon, which I understand may be later in the afternoon and we would have had a less busier time in the morning, but the crowds greatly affected our customer experience. They should really cap the number of tour buses allowed to book for a time slot so that the general public can book and enjoy the scenic...
Read moreVisited City Cruises today with the entire family. We booked the 5pm cruise tour. We were actually running behind by 1 minute and thought the boat would leave without us. However the crew members were all so nice and patient. We ran as quickly as possible to catch the boat before it sailed. Unfortunately my mother required a wheelchair and couldn't run to catch the boat, however one of the crew members ran from the dock (as the boat was ready to sail) to the office and got a wheelchair for my mother. He wheeled her onto the boat, and after the cruise tour, he wheeled her back out to our vehicle. I wish I had gotten his name, but everything was done so quickly that I didn't even get a chance to ask for his name. The crew members could have easily left us behind and sailed away, but they were so polite and kind. I don't think I've been on a cruise ship before where the staff members were so welcoming and understanding. It was an amazing experience. I will definitely use their services again. Read moreI had a very disappointing experience trying to book and attend a cruise. We booked the 2 pm cruise for today, and left an hour early to arrive, but we got a ton of traffic. I tried calling from the road, and the line only goes to a customer service line. They explained that they cannot make same day changes over the phone and said we could just talk to the folks at the ticket booth when we arrived. Unfortunately, we arrived over 1.5 hrs later because we had to make some stops for the baby. When we spoke with customer service, the gentleman at the desk said there's nothing he could do because it was past the sail time.. which is frustrating because I called twice before the sail time and spoke to 2 different people who said not to worry and to just talk to customer service when we arrived.
It's hard enough having a newborn. Then to have no way to get support by phone, and then just to be turned away in person...
I'm very disappointed with how you've set up your customer service.
