⬇️ The most magical winter spa in Canada ❄️✨ If you are looking for a dreamy winter spa getaway in Canada, you cannot miss this beautiful Quebec spa. Spa Nordic Station in Magog is tucked away in the forest just five minutes from downtown and only 1.5 hours from Montreal. It feels like the perfect mix of nature escape and easy access. I spent an evening here surrounded by twinkling lights, warm waterfalls, steam rising into the cold air and soft snow on the ground. It felt peaceful, cozy and completely magical. Here is why this Quebec spa deserves a spot on your winter bucket list: 🌲 Surrounded by forest and river for a true nature escape ♨️ Finnish saunas, a rare Russian banya, eucalyptus steam crypt, Californian baths, cold plunges, warm waterfalls and direct river access 🧖‍♀️ Optional massages and treatments for the perfect self care day 🔥 A beautiful nighttime atmosphere with fireplaces, warm baths and forest terraces Whether you visit solo, with friends or as a couple, this is one of the most relaxing winter spa experiences you can have in Canada. And yes, it is absolutely worth the drive from Montreal. Pro tip: Go just before sunset so you can watch the golden light fade into a glowing nighttime spa scene. The warm waterfall in the dark is exactly what you see in this clip and it is truly magical. 📍 Spa Nordic Station 285 chemin des Pères Magog, Quebec . . . #QuebecSpa #EasternTownships #NordicSpa #WinterGetaway #creatorsearchinsights

Édit: our bank after looking at pics fully refunded us our money. If you have issues be sure to get documentation and you will 100% get a chargeback. Original: If I could give this place zero stars I would. So dirty and unsafe. We walked in and left within 5 minutes. The showers were smeared with brown streaks and hair and had black mold in the grout. The steam room had severe black mold that triggered my asthma and we had to immediately leave. The hot pool was not properly heating and only 2 jets were functional- we were told it had to be closed in the past because the heater can’t keep up with colder air temps and keep the water warm (mentioned in other reviews). Unlike other spas they do not use heating mats and instead put down rock salt that will get into your sandles and burn your feet. Even with the rock salt there is still tons of ice on the steep stairs that connect the levels- reading other reviews people have fallen and slipped and injured themselves because of this. There is also slick ice leading into the cold plunge area that was iced over and not maintained We were told by the staff (the checkout crew were super lovely and kind) since we were literally there less than 5 minutes we would be refunded. The supervisor that could do the refund refused to come out but we were told the owner would call us the next day and refund us. This again never happened. Instead the owner said we were trying to be fraudulent and get free services. You couldn’t PAY me to set foot in that dirty place. We go to several other well kept spas in Quebec (Strom is a great clean safe and amazing and also way cheaper spa just a short drive away). This place is not only unsafe- but the supervisors and owner are incredibly rude. We called the local health department to have them come out- people have already been injured here. Click on the one star review on google to see the truth of this place. With so many other places to choose from that are clean, have great customer service, it’s no wonder this place was empty and the other all booked up days in advance. Edited to add after owner comment: This is not what you said in our call which I recorded. You threatened to call the police to report fraud because we wanted a refund because of the unhygienic and unsafe conditions at your establishment. You said multiple people were leaving after entering the premises and you can just refund everyone. If multiple people are asking for refunds after entering your establishment within a short time perhaps change the reason they don’t want to be there and keep The place functional, safe, and clean. Expect a health inspection.

Beautiful facade with run down facilities. You’re better off picking another spa (especially if you’re a smoker). So not worth the money or time. Once you come into the spa, you are greeted by a hostess/ receptionist. They give you 2 towels and a locker. There is a list of rules printed on the desk which you can read and some of which are: no talking (at all) a part from the terrace area, no electronic devices, and no smoking area. My husband is a smoker and asked if he can step outside during the stay. He was immediately answered with: “once you step outside, your experience is over”. A bit harsh considering the door is close and you are not bothering anyone by stepping outside. This is NOT a detox camp… Once you get inside, you head down a flight of stairs to get to the lockers/ showers. It was tidy and the showers had shampoo/ conditioner/ soap at everyone’s disposal (the only good thing about this spa). Outside, there are hot baths, cold baths and relaxation spots. The cycles: The hot: the two California baths are a waste. The water is warm and the jets don’t work. When asked about this, they said: “oh it’s normal. It’s low jets and it’s hard to keep the temperature because of the weather”. Keep in mind that this was a day of 30 degrees Celsius. So basically no “heat” from these baths. The steam crypt and the Russian banya is also not hot enough but the sauna is too hot. The cold: The cold bath is also warm but on the colder side. Like a bath that was really hot but went cold with time. So no “cold” cycle from this. The little river pond near the terrace, was also very shallow, knee to waist height, and the water was warm/cold. Many rocks so it’s hard to really immerse your whole body. There’s another path you can take that leads you down to the river, where it’s a bit bigger but also knee to waist water level height. Also many rocks and no room to really dip your whole body. Small area and can’t accommodate more than 3-4 people at a time. The rest: A few spots to relax which chairs and some enclosed big rooms. The chairs are mostly jammed together in the middle of the site with a few extra chairs at the sides of the baths. The overall experience was a waste since we didn’t get the “shock” from the hot or cold. It really felt like a warm bath gone cold. Very disappointed in the experience.

It speaks volumes about this spa that they only respond to glowing reviews while completely ignoring legitimate complaints from dissatisfied customers.

I am extremely disappointed with this spa and its customer service. I purchased a gift card from their website, only to discover afterward that it was for the wrong location—a location I will never visit. When I called to resolve this issue, asking for a refund or a transfer, I was met with nothing but rudeness and unprofessionalism.

The representative on the phone was dismissive and unhelpful. When I asked to speak with a manager, I thought things couldn’t get worse, but I was wrong—the manager was even more unprofessional! She condescendingly explained that because I checked a box during checkout acknowledging the location (likely buried in fine print), there was nothing they could do to help.

This policy is not only inflexible but also deeply frustrating. Their unwillingness to accommodate or assist a customer in good faith shows a complete lack of care for their clients. I will never recommend this place to anyone and will ensure my friends and family steer clear. A business that treats its customers this poorly doesn’t deserve anyone’s money.

I feel robbed—my money just vanished without any value in return.

Edit/Response:

Thank you for proving my point. This is exactly what I meant by your lack of good faith and customer service. Instead of addressing my concern with understanding or offering a reasonable solution, you’ve simply reiterated your rigid policy, which is the source of the issue in the first place.

Hiding behind fine print and refusing to work with customers to resolve honest mistakes shows that you prioritize policies over people.

You may have satisfied your policy, but you've completely failed in delivering a positive...
