Definitely need to add here because of our experience with cozy cabin. 1) not a clean driveway 2) heat not maintained 3) a DEAD MOUSE in the kitchen . I wish the response the day we raised the concern was as quick as the response on the reviews here. Again we do agree we are in the woods , it’s cold and probably was snowing heavy sometime .. but let’s be honest the weather last week was definitely turning positive and the snow on the driveway wasnt fresh snow. I definitely can share the photo I clicked. The booking was made well in advance and the details of the guests provided and the fact that there was a 15 month old and a senior citizen ( let’s forget that.. let’s just say we all were not a baby or a senior citizen ) even then we were not informed of any pest control ! And let’s say pest control was done .. I would still expect that the house be inspected on the day the guests were arriving just to ensure we don’t run into a mishap. Thank you for the 25% off on next stay offer — but what makes you guys believe we would want to come back and the latter offer of 75$ compensation since we did not accept 25% offer. Compensation is not the concern here .. the fact that there was no follow-up the next day to check if there could be any more rodents lying around in the house ( the fact that there was a pest control done) just a sanity check to prove that you guys are actually working towards providing quality services. But our experience leaves us thinking if it’s mere words since we did not see it in practice. Or maybe a consideration call/email from the owner .. just the gesture would have made the difference. But here we are and it’s only words. Not happy the only respite was being with my family after long but not the experience we looked forward to.

My stay at the Cozy Cabin Inn was everything I could ask for and then some. I highly recommend and I would return annually! Comfort: From the moment I walked in, I felt welcomed and comfortable. The owners thought of each detail, from the massive cozy couch that could fit 8 adults comfortably. The couch was the talk of our stay. The rooms were beautiful, with two masters and 2 queen-fitting rooms, we were 6 adults and 2 kids and had more than enough space. We all slept comfortably in our rooms, and notably appropriate soundproofing as I slept undisturbed from the rest of the house. Vibes: In person, it lives up to the photos and then some. Each detail from lighting to furnishings creates a relaxing atmosphere. Other Highlights: There was something for everyone to enjoy. If Smores is top of your list, the firepit is available for you there. The Hot Tub, which was top of my list, was ready to use and big enough for us all. BBQ - we couldn't resist making burgers on the BBQ each day, so we did. The house is well stocked with supplies, basically almost having everything you need. From the location being easily accessible for all of the people who joined us at the cabin, from the inner core of Toronto and the surrounding GTA. It was a smooth drive for us all. When you're there, driving to Sauble Beach feels like no time at all, with the country roads. You can also buy seasonal produce along the way, we picked up corn. Excellent cabin, well maintained and loved.

I planned a vacation with family to this property. Property seemed nice in the images but we had a pathetic experience. 1) Snow wasn’t cleared from the porch as they committed. 2) Heater was not on. We had a senior citizen and an infant with us. It took more than 3hours to get the temp right. Mind you we checked post their confirmation that the property is all set to receive us. 3) Guess what, we found a dead mouse in the kitchen. On informing the manager (Christina) about it she couldn’t even arrange a support staff. For asking owner invasion she took 24 hours to respond saying that she is checking with the owner. Lol is this some kind of joke. They had zero assistance to handle the issue. We had to remove mouse ourselves and disinfect the entire place. Having a dead mouse in the kitchen means we had to wash all the dishes, the table tops, and infect disinfect surroundings. The mouse was smelling so badly. I felt like puking. 4) On our constant ask to get in touch with owner we were offered a compensation of 75 bucks. Which I felt was disrespectful. In the beginning I thought they have such strict rules the experience will be top notch because everything will be well organised. I wish I took the previous reviews seriously and not booked it.

Our entire family rented out this cottage in early July and this was for a rare family vacation get together. We had a total of 8 adults and 5 young kids.

In summary, the stay was great and the cabin was genuinely cozy for us to make fond family memories, however the post checkout process was an unpleasant experience to say the least and we had to deal with a lot of back and forth before receiving our $1000 deposit back.

The Pros 1)Cabin was very homey and had many rooms, beds and the perfect number of washrooms 2)location was great, easy to find and a short drive to Walmart and local attractions 3)backyard was great for kids to run around 4)Sarah was pleasant to chat with over email and response time was reasonable 5)Wifi was strong and stable even when so many of us were using it

The Cons 1)A bit too much decor, and we had to move some things around in order to use the coffee table or the dining table 2)Maybe it was the time of the year but there were a lot of flies around the house, not mosquitoes but flies. every time the door was opened a few would sneak in. We couldn't use the hot tub either because of this. 3)Post checkout we were accused of the following by the cleaning team and our deposit was held, i)We used too many towels and bedsheets (not sure what the expected limit was but we don't feel it was abused) ii)A washcloth was missing (accidentally taken and we mailed it back) iii)Hair and fur on the floor (not sure how since we didn't have a pet) iv)the house was left in a mess and chaotic (thank goodness for our video) v)we misplaced decor in the house

In the end, we did get our full deposit back from Sarah, but only after a lot of back and forth via emails and us sharing one of the videos we took right before checking out.  Lesson learned for our family going forward when we rent a place is to request for a walk through at check-in and at check-out like when you rent a car. Or when that's not available, to take pictures or videos as supporting evidence.

I suspect there was a lot of inaccurate information from the cleaning team but I"m glad it all worked...

We rented this cottage in the summer for a family gathering, as it’s rare to get everyone together with such busy schedules. Our group included 8 adults, 4 children, and 1 infant. While the property's listed maximum is 8 guests, we made prior arrangements with the host and paid additional fees to accommodate the full group — all of which was clearly agreed upon at the time of booking.

The cottage itself matched the description and provided a good setting for quality family time. The rooms were comfortable and well-maintained. However, there were some issues with house flies, particularly in the backyard area. For those planning to use the hot tub, be aware that it was frequently filled with dead flies, and there were no tools provided to clean them out. If you are brave, you can scoop out the dead flies with your hands and 'enjoy' the hot tub.

Unfortunately, our overall experience was significantly overshadowed by the communication with the host after check-out. Shortly after our stay, we were contacted with a number of upsetting and unsubstantiated claims — including allegations of damage, misplacing (and implication of stealing) items, and having more guests than allowed (despite our documented agreement and payment for the extra guests). These accusations were based on communication of the cleaning staff, and the host mentioned reviewing security footage to verify our claims. At times, the tone felt accusatory and unprofessional, which was deeply disappointing after what had been a positive weekend for our family.

Thankfully, we had recorded a check-out video that helped clarify the situation and refute the claims. Still, the stress and tone of the post-stay communication left an extremely sour taste and ultimately tainted what should have been a memorable and...
