Insane Prices, Even by Canadian Standards! We’ve been frequenting the North Side Chalet throughout the ski season for years, mainly for its local charm, convenient free parking, and proximity to the chairlifts. While the renovated dining area is a nice improvement, there are still several aspects that need attention: • Storage: There’s a lack of proper storage options for ski bags, boots and other items • Washrooms: The facilities are small and cramped, especially given the volume of visitors. • Wifi: The Wifi connection is unreliable and frustrating to use. Unfortunately, the cafeteria has become a major disappointment. Prices have skyrocketed to absurd levels! A small hot chocolate, which used to be free for Ikon and Tonik pass holders, now costs $5.50 with tax. A bottle of Coke? A staggering $8 with tax. These prices are simply unreasonable—see for yourself! Adding to the disappointment, the cafeteria staff were noticeably unfriendly, even borderline hostile, towards English-speaking guests. It left a bad taste in what should be a welcoming environment. While I still recommend the facility for skiing, skip the dining options altogether—bring your own food instead!

Finally, a chalet with real walls, the new owners spent some cash on the long neglected north side of the mountain. The footprint of the building remains the same, though, so lunch hour overcrowding will continue. Nonetheless, I appreciate the gesture of minor improvements. I understand that north side skiers do not spend the money that the south side tourists and poseurs lavish on the merchants, but we had been forgotten for too long. The dividers put up to separate diners during COVID-19 work quite well, with half the number of tables.

This is clearly the better place to park the car for ski. Only problem is the road that ends there is in terrible quality. For myself with a sedan this is a big hassle every time. But for the ski and the chalet, it’s very well managed, everything proper and in place. Staff are super helpful and polite. The rental is a lot more efficient than one on the south side.

This place is ok and has gotten better over the years

The beer choice now goes beyond Molson products. They now hold craft beer choices.

Foodwise, they now have some salad options that they didn't use to have a few years back.

The real problem that they have is the price gouging that is going on ( see the attached picture of some of the menu options)

I definitely don't think that a Pogo ( corn dog) is worth 5.50$ + taxes

Other than that the whole experience reminds me of my high school cafeteria being loud, dirty and overcrowded.

The employees are super...
