Have been living in Ile-Bizard for 18 years and have seen it's ups and downs. The village is definitely sub par compared to other West Island villages such as Beaurepaire, Pointe-Claire village, Ste Anne-de-Bellevue... Etc. Improvements in this area are long overdue. The corruption within our Burrough is also above average and has thankfully been cleaned up somewhat with the current mayor Marinacci. The lack of ressources and police station on Island makes it easy for citizens to be above the law and facilitate abuse of the system. The island scores high with it's pro nature theme however this point of appeal is slowly starting to fade out throughout recent years with all contractors ever so anxious to annihilate the forest and shorelines in order to stack them houses as close as possible to one another in the name of $. The country feel and such close proximity to the city make it a desirable place to live for those who like elbow room.
