This national park is honestly one of the best Iâve ever been to, and I feel really lucky that I managed to visit it twice this year. Every time I go, I find something new to appreciate about it. If youâre planning a trip here, Indian Cove and the Grotto are absolute must-sees. The views are breathtaking, and they really showcase the beauty of the area in a way that photos just canât capture. Standing there in person is a completely different experience.
Aside from those well-known spots, there are also plenty of quieter beaches tucked away around the park. Theyâre perfect if youâre looking for a little peace and a break from the crowds. The only thing to keep in mind is that these beaches arenât very close to the main parking areas, so youâll need to hike in on foot. The walk isnât difficult, but it does take a bit of effort, so itâs best to come prepared.
Since once youâre inside the park you canât just pop out easily, Iâd definitely recommend bringing enough food and water for the day. That way you can take your time and really enjoy exploring without worrying about leaving to grab supplies. For anyone planning to swim or just cool off, there is a washroom near Indian Cove where you can change your clothes, which makes things a lot more convenient. Overall, this park is an amazing place to visit, and Iâd recommend it...
Read moreBruce Peninsula, Tobermory, over three hour drive from my home in Toronto, is a must visit, beautiful national park in Ontario. In about nine hours (10 a.m. to 7 p.m.) after reaching the park, we visited the pebble beach, sandy beach, the national park, and enjoyed a trail walk and a cruise ride. Since hop on - hop off crise rides were fully booked online, we had to go for nonstop ride, charging $60 per person. The boat passed through ten major attractions including lighthouses, flowerpot island, parks Canada visitor center, little cove, and singing sands. Water at pebble beach was crystal clear and the pebbles could be seen clearly through the bluish water. It was, however, difficult and risky to walk on the beach full of round and slippery pebbles. We enjoyed the sandy beach, for, unlike the pebble beach, we could walk comfortably on the beach. Just for your information: The parking and admission to the Tobermory park is not free, and we had to pay over $36 among the three of us at the pebble beach; However, Free parking was included with the ferry ride in proximity of the boating area. The nonstop cruise ride was extremely exhilarating and refreshing and ideal for the tourists who do not want to stay overnight and want to finish...
Read moreAmazing park. Make sure to visit the Grotto, itâs a MUST!! We camped here a week ago at Cyprus Lake. The staff were very friendly and the facilities were clean. However, the only problem we had was that our campsite was left alone and all the nearby sites were empty.
We understand that they have reduced the park capacity to %50, but I wish they somehow managed to keep the full campsites a little close to each other.
We were left in the woods and no one was near us. It gets really dark and scary at night. Specially since they have a huge number of black bears and rattlesnakes. The park security didnât really visit our campsite that often, only once each night. In other campsites, the park staff usually visit several times during the night.
Anyway, we enjoyed our time here. Make sure to go near the lake around midnight to see the sky. The sky is so magical here that you would definitely miss it if you...
