We went to check in for our 4 night stay only to be told we were there for only 3 nights. The girl at the front desk only offered to see if we could stay the 4th night after we complained. We got the 4th night but had to move campsites for our last night. We were also told that it was a full service site. We go to the site. It was not full service, it was power only. We then packed up and went to get water, which was available at a few places throughout the campsite. They had no sani dump on site either. So this was not anywhere near a full service site. As a matter of fact, they do not have any full service sites, they have power only sites. We go back to our site to hookup now, only to discover that there was no power. After several attempts we go back to the office and they say they will send someone to fix it. A short while later one of their staff shows up and says they can’t fix it as there are no electricians available on the Friday of the long weekend. My husband is n electrician and had tools to fix it. We finally got it going. The next day we spoke to the folks in the next campsite. They said they had booked a site specifically so that she could park her car there. When she got there it had been given to someone else. She paid for one of the RV sites which cost her extra funds. Next we spoke to folks at another site who were having trouble as his breaker kept tripping, he had to pack up and move to another site. The following night a group of people arrived to check in. They were told their sites were full hookup as well as pullthru sites. They have no site that you can pull thru. They ran out of ice halfway thru the weekend. The temps were 33-35C. Their staff think they deliver a high level of service, but their perception and reality are two different things. They do not check on the campground, nothing is sanitized between guests, sites not raked. The chalet guests we spoke to had only a half roll of toilet paper, no air conditioning, and the staff had to go and double check their suite to see if it had actually been cleaned. Washrooms and showers are somewhat clean. Their were limits on pool guests were being exceeded. Garbage full and partially overflowing. Would never...

The hiking trails were amazing. The pools were nice as well, but a cold pool would be beneficial. However, the service was terrible all around. I had called to ask about cooking facilities ahead of time to meal plan. BBQ’s were not available due to COVID. I was told that I had a mid size fridge, a bit smaller than a household fridge. So I prepared food considering that. The fridge was mini-I could only fit a third of the food in it. Thankfully, we had family with RVs where I could store the rest of the food or it would have gone to waste, but that meant running down to the campsite for it. It was extremely hot in the chalet so even bread and buns could not be left out without spoiling. No AC at all. Chalets are definitely not worth the rental rate. They were very strict on the COVID regulation in regards to the number of people allowed but I did not see any cleaning being done at all in the whole 4 days there. There was only 1 nice employee, the guy with the beard. When at the office, staff did not ever say hello to anyone. They were very rude for the most part, especially when letting everyone know when it was time to leave the pools after your booking. The one lady actually walked into the men’s change room to shout “4 minutes to get out of here”. A regular visitor told me that the staff is never nice to those people who have kids as he has seen how they treat them many times. But to top it off, check out is 10:30 am. My 14 yo daughter was washing up and getting ready to leave and was in the chalet alone. The cleaning lady knocked and walked right in at 9:20. I had not even checked out yet. When I checked out, I mentioned this and I got the same response as a few other times that weekend “oh, that usually doesn’t happen”. It was not a good first-time experience at this...

BEYOND DISSAPOINTING LUKE WARM TEPID BIRD BATH!!! Wish i could give zero stars. Absolute waste of time & money!. I've been looking forward to coming here for a long time & after paying $14 I left after being in their not-so "hot" pool after 5mins!!! & then had to spend 10mins in the shower to actually warm up after! The shower was hotter than the "hot" pool!. & Yes, im talking about their "big" pool not the cold plunge pool. I came here after kayaking for 6 hours was so looking forward to a nice hot soak to loosen up the tight muscles. Got robbed of $14 for a luke warm bird bath with bugs floating everywhere disgusting. Beyond mad & disappointed. I tried to address it after leaving pretty much immediately after arriving & paying $14. Told the girl at the front that it was very cold, luke warm, not hot at all! Her snooty response was that she just checked the temperature & it was 96F. 1st of all we are in Canada not the USA so thats 35c average body temp is 37.5c. Its 2 degrees colder than body temp even!!! Thats not hot. No wonder i was literally getting cold sitting in it! What a sham. I'm so mad I spent $14 for a tepid 5min bird bath & 10min shower to try warm up. I should've saved the time & money, & just had a bath at my hotel & saved myself the hassle driving up that windy road for nothing. Absolute waste of time.

Buy some epsom salts have a...

It is a bit of a winding mountain road to get here, and first impressions as we arrive were great. There are 2 pools, the smaller one having the warmer temperature. Nestled near a mountainside, all you see are the beautiful coniferous trees which is lovely, and no road noise at all. It also looks like there are cabin rentals and camping spots. The pools admission fee was very reasonable, but be aware there is a charge and deposit for each towel you take and each lock. You can always bring your own. Food? Very little to offer, and what was offered was microwaved frozen dinners, not impressive by any means. If you are traveling, be sure to dine before you get here. Reception upon arrival was very cold, uncaring, and rather short with us. Having never been here, one would have thought reception would have been more welcoming. The drive from Vernon here was interesting and the 6 minute Needles Ferry ride was nice. Perhaps I expected more out of Nakusp, or really, I did not know what to expect ... but certainly didn't expect such a cold welcoming. Coming from Saskatchewan, there are other hot springs around BC interior with way more friendly staff.

I will not stay overnight here again but will go to Halcyon instead. It ended up being just as much as it would have to stay at a nicer spot. They don't include the admission into the pool with the charge of the chalet, there is no Wifi (which I honestly like but for the same price Halcyon offers Wifi and admission into their pools) and, like the person camping, there was a bear issue. The bear seemed too comfortable to be around people and it will be killed soon because it has no fear of being close to people :( We made sure our kids didn't go outside without an adult checking outside first and being outside with them. I was also charged $10 for leaving dirty dishes in the chalet???!!! Really? Never ever have I ever stayed somewhere that expects their customers to clean their dishes. Even if the hotel was a cheep $60 a night. This seems so absurd to me. In the end it cost more to stay at the Nakusp Hotspring than to stay at a higher end place up the road 30 minutes. Having said that, the pool is very nice and the cost for a dip for the day is very reasonable and it is just a quick drive from the City of Nakusp.

My husband, our 2.5-year-old, and I stayed in Chalet 1, and it was a wonderful experience. The chalet had everything we needed, though if you're a coffee lover, remember to bring coffee pot filters and your own grounds, as the provided pods weren't very strong. The pools were fantastic - the cool pool was at a comfortable 97 degrees, and the hot pool was a soothing 103 degrees, in the winter these temperatures are higher. There's even a cold shower by the pools if you're in the mood for a refreshing rinse. The view of the tall, tree-covered mountains added to the relaxation factor. Another highlight was the Nakusp Hotsprings Trail, which conveniently starts right by the parking lot. It's a great way to connect with nature and enjoy the surrounding beauty. While there's no on-site restaurant, the chalet kitchen allowed us to prepare our own meals, and it's just a quick drive into town where we discovered some wonderful dining options. Overall, our stay at Nakusp Hotsprings was a memorable and rejuvenating experience. We can't wait to return for another relaxing getaway.
