I searched around for a professional landscape company to service the Erin, Orangeville, Caledon area. I reached out several companies, several prominent names in the area never followed up. One prominent Orangeville showed up and estimated the work with very little to no explanation of their service, abilities and even the site walk was brief at best. So I chanced it in Google. JC landscape. Good reviews so what the heck !!! Ok this is where service was exceptional. Owen their team client experience lead, walked us through the whole company process. They are well run, highly professional system. I knew the owner has spent a lot of time on this to ensure the customer experience was positive. We had drawing done, reviewed options, present alternative options. Estimate the work, provide change of scope along the way. Any issues we’re dealt with professionally and the site crew foreman Brad was great. The workers were trained to be professional. This was a highly organized, professional operation that Justin the owner has built. Even personally going to the quarry to pick out these massive stones for the project. This was a complex, and delicate job with the location of the work. Any hick ups get handled by Owen until the matter has been resolved. Any company can sell a job, I define a company by how well they take care of the customer after the job is done. Warranty, issues and follow up Quality control with the owners. Their invite to their office was an extra nice feature, as I wanted to see was their place neat and organized or was it a dump site and filthy. This tells me about who I’m dealing with. They are not for people who want it “cheap” or fast. They are a company where you want value, service, and professionalism! For a Google search I would say based on the length of this review I was very happy with their work. They will be our go to company in the future and always first recommendation if anyone asks. We love our backyard! It truly is a peaceful sanctuary and retreat. This would not have been possible without the design expertise, professionalism, creativity and innovation the team at JC Landscaping brought to our project. From the beginning we were very impressed with the professionalism and expertise Owen brought in our early meetings. We knew what we had wanted and Owen and the team were able to bring it to life for us. We were worried about our backyard slopes /grades and what that might mean from a cost and limitation in design options. We were blown away by the creativity and innovation the team was able to apply to work through the various challenges our project presented. A key objective we had established for our backyard project was to capitalize on the rich nature surrounding us and preserve green space. The team was able to design the backyard in a way that provides stunning views from every angle and maintained the integrity of the natural greenery our property backs onto. We decided to add in a firepit feature (I really wanted one; my husband was not keen on the idea), the design and functionality far surpassed our initial request and to this day remains the most favorite feature for my husband. After consulting a number of landscape and pool firms, we are so happy we made the decision to proceed with JC Landscaping on this life altering addition to our home. As we reflect on the year behind us, and all that was bad about 2020, we are grateful to JC Landscaping for finishing our backyard oasis and we look forward to spring and summer 2021 and enjoying our “resort” with friends and family. Our project with JC Landscaping started in September 2019 with us knowing that it would not be complete until the spring of 2020. The team worked diligently for as long as they could until Mother Nature shut them down in late November; the plan was to restart in spring of 2020 – well, we all know what happened… The restart was delayed due to Covid, but Justin kept us informed weekly, updating us on the restrictions from the Ontario Government and Landscape Ontario Rules. Justin remained positive the entire time and we understood that keeping us and his employees safe was his number one priority. Mid-May the crew was back on site and resumed the work, only to have us throw a new project into the scope! Why wait to complete the vision when the crew was already here right? So, we added on a lower fire pit area with a dry riverbed and a bridge, without missing a beat the team jumped right in and by June 15th the project was complete! As the crew finished the last clean up and loaded the equipment on their trucks we changed into swimsuits and planned a night by the fire. 2020 was a challenging year for everyone, but JC Landscaping, Justin and his crew, made it much easier for this family, we were happy to stay at home in our beautifully finished backyard! We look forward to enjoying our backyard for many years to come.
