Family and I went out on the new Ferry Service Today. The weather wasn't the best, overcast and scattered rain, but we had an great experience. Shore to Ship to Island the staff involved were friendly and energetic about the Island and the new Ferry. Thanks a lot to all you guys. The Trail was a little muddy due to weather but that was to be expected. Gravel was laid in what seems to be the worst areas which made it easy enough. A refurbished dock for viewing the marsh, small cleared area's for viewing the lake, new signage for history, nature, and poison ivy warnings all made for a wonderful day. There's a path that goes around the main portion of the island that goes over the old bridge Hiram Walker built, and the path continues around the ruins of his old home.
