I did the hike from the north, there are less people from that path. The hike is hard the terrain is very Rocky and uneven. The hike reward you with a lot of panoramic view. If you just go up and come back it is a medium difficulty hike. If you go up and then do the loop, it is very challenging. You will do over 16km and climb more than 800 feet on very harsh terrain surface. Bring pole, it's an absolute must for such a distance. The trail are not mark often and feel natural, which is great, but turning point and Cross road should have much better indication.

Loved this hike. Only downside is that there is not much indication to where the trail is and where it starts from certain parking lots. You really have to pay attention to where you are going and where the ground/path is. I'm happy as my partner really helped me to find the correct paths to walk. That is the reason why I am giving a 4 star. I am not really in shape, and did this. It was the best feeling after I was done.

Sometimes you plan for a hike and then you don't feel like doing it. I did not set an alarm to wake up hoping that my girlfriend would do the same but no luck there.

So I eventually did this hike today with Véronika. It was cloudy with the temperature at around 3 degrees celsius from the start but very windy. At the summit the temperature was closer to 0 but with the windshield factor probably closer to - 5.

There were patches of ice at certain places so we had to be cautious. I saw a porcupine and a hare. Fewer people than normal today. Maybe some stayed in bed and benefited from the extra hour because of the time...
