Ottawa Forest & Nature School — Local services in Ottawa

My younger son went there for almost a year now. He loves it so much. The forest school located inside the Wesley Clover park, very nice space, lots of things to explore and very safe. The teachers in the forest school are very nice and passionate. They have a very small class ratio, teachers share their love of nature to the children. My son started with their forest school summer camp last year. He was hesitant to go to any camp at that time, because he had not been in any summer camp at that point. After the first days he asked me to sign him up for another week, than another week. He enjoys it so much! He is now in the regular program , going there every Friday. Forest school was my sons first experience being cared for by non-family members. The staff were so caring and understanding during the transition, they really paid attention to his needs and did special things to make him feel at home. It took a few months, but my son now loves forest school and always asks about seeing his teachers and his friends. I also love that he is spending time outside, exploring. Forest School has been such an amazing experience for both of my kids and has really helped them build their confidence. The staff are outstanding and the kids have always come home full of wonderful stories from the day. We never had an issue with the kids missing a day at their regular school each week and often their regular school teachers commented on how the kids were often teaching others in the class all about what they discovered and learned about in the forest....
