This review is real and should be heard. Food and product is great but the customer service needs work.
Family run business that fired all non family staff right before Christmas and right before there 3 month mark (myself included). They operate a retail space but hide behind regulations in the agriculture sector. This allows them to not pay staff for holidays, it also allows them to skirt conventional health and safety regulations. They don't have a janitors room or even a mop, because they don't clean anything. I saw layers of dirt on products I was told to sell. Mold growing in the fridges they use. When I asked for cleaning supplies I was givin a half empty bottle of Dawn, thats it. No integrity here. Do not support these people, or you are allowing them the take advantage of people and potentially risk the health of there patrons.
The Christmas market was a success, because the hourly staff did all the work, which they were then fired afterwards. Management (The Family) just walks around giving orders and gossiping about there staff while not actually helping in any way. I set up all the fridges and freezers in there retail space and almost daily was told to completely reorganize them due to there lack of planning and forthought in anything they do. Having to redo work several times was common as management seemed to be making decision on the fly.
My direct supervisor got his job simply by marrying into it, and he lacked any real experiance managing a business. He showed very little leadership skills and after several requests to have a staff meeting, due to prior communication, the meeting turned into a round of pat management on the back for all the success.
Reflecting on my time working there I will never support this family. I have never worked for a company so manipulative, and heartless. I'm sure the other 5 staff fired before Christmas feel similarly.
PS: The way we were let go made me think, 1 of these 2 things must be true.
They knew in advance they would have to let us all go and made to decision to NOT give anyone notice in advance, and opted to fires everyone on the spot, some via txt. Or 2) They were so poorly managed that they had no choice but to fire us in the moment to save the company from...

Although owner told me I should track it and have a cooler out, I will have to throw out frozen food. Would be nice if they would have had cold packs. No customer service here. Won't be ordering again. Customer gone! Owner shows no compassion and consideration for a returning customer. In the unexpected warm weather we had, I was not expecting any problems with delivery. Apparently I should have been monitoring my delivery while laying on an MRI machine. Delivery was made at 11.29 am, he lied and said it was 1pm. If it was an hr everything would have been fine. 2.5 hrs, I have to throw out food. No consideration for returning customers. In the end it's all my fault. Though we are just up the road, the ability for us to have our food delivered has been greatly beneficial with our busy lives. One thing with having food delivered is the concern for quality, but this is never an issue with Niagara Fresh. Additionally, there wasnt much selection when they first started but now that they have branched out we always shop here weekly to get what we need and rarely need to go to the store for much. They even offer gluten free items! One thing is, they are getting busier so sometimes items are out of stock. This is a good thing though, as you know your items aren't sitting there for an extended time before you get anything.
