Assiniboine River — Local services in Rural Municipality of Riding Mountain West

I only recommend the Assiniboine river only for boating and snowmobiling at 75 MPH. Most of the septic fields in South West Manitoba leak and trickle into the Assiniboine river drainage system and ultimately to Lake Manitoba. Add to that agricultural chemicals and waste. Very scenic, and apparently the fishing is not bad eather. I have seen people boating, and enjoying other outdoor activities on this river. Lots of interesting wildlife to be seen along it, birds, herons, geese, beaver, and deer. The lights from the city reflected on the water in certain spots at night are beautiful.
