Very nice apple picking place , large play space for kids , picnic table area , terrain recently fenced .Legault Orchards is conveniently located in Oka, Quebec, making it an ideal day trip from Montreal. The drive is scenic and relatively short, taking about an hour from the city. The orchard is well-signposted and easy to find, with ample parking available on-site.

Amenities: The orchard offers a variety of amenities to enhance your visit. There is a well-maintained visitor center where you can get information about the different apple varieties and the best picking spots. Clean restrooms are available, and there are picnic areas where you can enjoy a meal amidst the beautiful surroundings. The orchard also provides tractor tours, which are a fun way to explore the grounds.

Overall Experience: Visiting Richard Legault Orchards is a delightful experience for all ages. The orchard is beautifully maintained, with rows of apple trees stretching as far as the eye can see. The natural beauty of the area is complemented by the charming rustic architecture of the farm buildings. The staff are friendly and knowledgeable, always ready to help you make the most of your visit.

Natural and Architectural Beauty: The orchard is set against a backdrop of rolling hills and lush greenery, making it a picturesque location for a day out. The farm buildings have a quaint, rustic charm that adds to the overall appeal. In the fall, the vibrant colors of the apple trees create a stunning landscape that is perfect for photography.

Historical and Cultural Significance: Richard Legault Orchards has been a family-run business since 1979, and it carries a rich history of apple cultivation in the region. The orchard is a testament to the agricultural heritage of Oka and offers a glimpse into the traditional methods of apple farming.

Facilities: The facilities at the orchard are top-notch. The visitor center is informative and welcoming, the restrooms are clean, and there is plenty of parking available. The picnic areas are well-maintained, providing a perfect spot to relax and enjoy the fresh air.

Recommendation: I highly recommend a visit to Richard Legault Orchards. Whether you’re looking to pick your own apples, enjoy a tractor tour, or simply take in the beautiful scenery, this orchard has something for everyone. It’s a great destination for families, couples, and anyone looking to experience the charm of...

I absolutely loved the experience. I had a great time Apple picking. 🍎

The staff were very welcoming, helpful, and friendly. There are wide varieties of apples and the type of apple tree all have the 1st letter marked on the tree trunk. I discovered apples that were less acidic then other apples commonly seen at the grocery stores.

Apple picking is a great outting for the entire family. There is a cute small farm, petting & feeding of baby goats to the left of the entrance. A Playground for the children to the right. A great use of space and still plenty of room to move about.

Travel time to this site made it even more appealing and it will be our most popular choice for...

INCREDIBLE service! Right when we arrived we were greeted warmly by staff, and were encouraged to sample their tourtiere and different spreads. VERY good value, one 20 pound bag was only 16$ which allowed us to pick ANY type of apple including the more expensive honey crisps. We were allowed to have our picnic at their tables which sheltered us from the rain (we were a group of about 30). Came here after a terrible experience at VERGER LACROIX that charged too much for a 20 pound bag, and forced every man, woman and child to buy a bag EACH! Support the smaller orchards and not the big time,...

Nice place, wasn't over crowded when we arrived (10:30 am). Bags for the apples are available in a variety of sizes. Trip to the orchard can be done by walking or tractor ($1) which brings you for a tour of the forest. Trees identified so you can know which apples to pic (M - Macintosh, R - Red Delicious). Water cabins available in the orchard. Nice ambiance with music thanks to PMG group. No more Gala nor Honey Crisp apples, unfortunately.
