Hogan's Homestead Airport Gift Shop — Local services in Sault Ste. Marie

I’ve been to this restaurant several times — probably 8 or 9 visits now in 2025 and while the food itself is good, the consistency of service is a real problem. I’m a pilot, and almost every time I stop in, they’re either out of popular items like the wings, Flying Reuben, or chicken bacon ranch wrap.

Even worse, they cut off food service about an hour before closing, and their hours of operation is terrible as it is. It’s frustrating to show up an hour before closing and be told they’re not making food anymore except fries or salads. I finally got the chance to get out to the cafe and can I say I was super impressed. I know Hogan's always brings amazing quality and service in everything they do but this exceeded my expectations. The staff was amazing and super helpful! And the coffee/treat selection was great as well. I had plate envy over some of the food I saw coming out of the kitchen. I will definitely be going back for lunch soon.

It's worth the drive if you live in...

They cut off access to the only water fountain past security. The only alternatives are drinking hot water from the bathroom tap or buying a $4 bottle from the vending machine (which only accepts cash).
