Beautiful trail! The first half is rather steep but do not get discouraged! The upper half of the trail is relatively flat, and the view at the end of the trail is SO REWARDING. Then the hike back down is of course much easier than the climb. As with all hiking trails, make sure you have enough time to get up and back down before dark. There is a parking area at the base which often gets full on a fair-weather weekend. But then it is simple enough to park along side the road (just be conscious of the resident's driveways). It's suitable for pet owners to walk with their little honey on the trail. Hikers would have a picnic and take photos at the end of the trail usually. I was so disappointed coz of it but decided to go back for the safety of kids. I know we missed the amazing view but enjoyed the hike in the rain. We all got drenched and drive back to Halifax.
