Avalon Mall — Local services in St. John's

I have been waiting 10 days now for a response from Sears to an inquiry and comment I made by email on their policy of having cashiers recruit credit card customers and upgrades at their checkout. After receiving several 'form' type responses, non of which remotely responded to my inquiry I have decided to post this message. I experienced very long line ups with too few cashiers. Each customer was given detailed info about getting a Sears financial card. This is a common practice but at busy checkouts it actually results in poor customer service slowing down the line. I had an occasion to go back to the store to make a return a few days later and heard the same 'intense' pitch from another cashier. I asked if he received commission and he said no but the number of hours he would be scheduled to work would be determined by how many customers he could sign on. He said he needed the job and more work hours. I thought this was a terrible practice. I emailed Sears to inquire if this was accurate and have never received anything more than a 'form' reply. Is there a Sears rep out there who would be willing to respond???? you have my...

I really really really enjoyed the mall today because the water wasnt working so the whole food court was wmpty and quiet and I was able to eat my Mega Slop Burger in peace!

But half way through my burger a big hungry woman spotted my food through the two cameras attached to the terrifying hulking mass in which she calls a body. She approached me and demanded I giver her my food in which I declined.

Her eyes immediately turned bright red and she gnashed her fangs at me and took up chase. She tailed me through the entire mall screaming "I GUESS MY BABY WILL GO HUNGRY THEN! I GUESS MY BABY WILL GO HUNGRY THEN! I GUESS MY BABY WILL GO HUNGRY THEN!" while throwing disturbingly accurate volleys of Stanley mugs at me as if she were some sort of human trebuchet.

Other than that I really like this mall and I will be coming back again soon to wonder around the halls and do my classic robot dance!

Crowded, no safe distance between anyone, lots of people not wearing their mask, I thought that Mask's are still manitory in this Province, So the more people who don't want to wear a mask are actually putting themselves and their families at risk of getting Covid . This virus is not gone away and it's here with a vengeance towards us all. Oh my Heaven's what's wrong with some people these days. I used to work and shop at the Avalon Mall , now I try to do my best not to go in there unless I absolutely got to. I'm wearing two masks to help protect myself and my Family.
