Went here by luck today due to some unfortunate luck while traveling to Newfoundland. Got to the airport and asked around for suggestions for cell repair. Was directed to Avalon Mall where unfortunately nobody was able to help due to limited schedules (Mobile Clinic) and the others didn't have the ability to repair Samsung phones. One gentleman recommended Avalon Tech so I went over and the brother that helped was very pleasant to deal with. Thinking I needed a new screen as most suggested including something he mentioned could be a problem (and that would be $200 easily), he said give me an hour and I'll let you know. Now in a city you're visiting, you're genuinely nervous just blindly trusting someone but I did and when I returned, he mentioned the screen had some minor repairs that needed to be done (I.e. some cable was loose etc.), and it cost me a fraction of the new screen cost. I was having minor issues with my Macbook Air so I brought it to Best Buy to have a member of the Geek Squad look at it. The Geek Squad representative told me it'd be $300 just to take my laptop into their care and that they doubt they would be able to do anything to help me. They then said that my laptop was over 5 years old so it was a waste of time and money to even attempt to repair it and that I should look into purchasing a new one. Dissatisfied with what I had been told, I reached out to Avalon Tech & Tailor for a second opinion. Within 2 hours my laptop was back in my hands and operating better than it has in years. Even after replacing a part within my laptop, and providing me with a six month warranty, my bill only came to $89.99. Got my laptop screen fixed here today and I am beyond happy! First, my screen was totally busted. Not sure what happened, but I have a puppy who may be the culprit… we will never know. I brought it in, and Mr. Wasim instantly knew what had to be done, exactly what screen I would need and how much it will cost. It was a fair price for the replacement, I’m not too into computers but it was much less than I expected. I also expected to have to wait a few days, but it was totally fixed in just a few hours! When I went for pickup, there was a slight issue with the outer casing, but that was due to a small internal plastic piece not holding properly. No big deal, and I was even told how to fix it should it cause anymore issues.
