Extremely disappointed in the customer service at Leon's. I have been a customer for years, I bought my first living room set from them, and despite warnings from friends and coworkers I bought over $5,000 in furniture again six months ago including a mattress. We've hardly had the mattress for six months and already the bed has begun giving away and is extremely uncomfortable to sleep on.
I called the store and had someone come in and take pictures of it. Finally heard back only to find out the manufacturer will not replace our mattress because of a stain? What does a stain have to do with being sold a defective product?
I called the store on Elizabeth Ave in St. John's NL and was told the customer service manager, Dave was in a meeting that morning and my number was taken to call back later. I called back and was told Dave would be tied up in meetings all day so I asked for the number for head office and Dave suddenly became available.
Dave was incredibly rude and unhelpful and I could tell from the moment he answered the phone that he didn't want to be talking to me at all. He told me that my problem was with the manufacturer and not with Leon's, even when I reminded him that it was his store that sold me a defective product. When I told him that Leon's had a terrible score on the Better Business Bureau Website(basically reviews from customers) he rudely told me that they were only customers who didn't get "their own way".
All "my way" is, is wanting to sleep in a bed that doesn't cause me pain. All "my way" is, is wanting a mattress that will last longer than a year. All "my way" is, is wanting to be treated with respect, especially while talking to a customer service professional/manager.
All he could say to me was that I should of bought a mattress cover, and when I threatened to take it to social media I was told I could do whatever I wanted, but he would tell the media I had a stain on my mattress.
When I told him I wanted to speak with head office he told me he didn't have the number, and didn't offer to get it for me. He also said "You can talk to whoever you want, we're not replacing the mattress".
Please, save yourself the trouble and do your research before shopping at Leon's. I wish I had. They're nice to you when they want your money, but once they get it they're done with you and will not fight for their customers or stand by the products they sell. I guess I'll be a getting mattress from somewhere that appreciates their customers because Leon's...

Ordered almost $8k worth of items back in mid September for my mom who was relocating to NL to be near us. Was told the bed I ordered was not available until December so was provided an alternative which was available immediately, so went with that as she needed a bed the day after closing (October 15). Also waas informed that the sofa we thought was custom order (8-9 weeks) was available in Gander, so that would be in for closing as well. The reamining items were mostly November and 1 December date so we went ahead thinking all was well. Fast forward to delivery day and this is where the issues started. Got a call that the delivery would be coming in the afternoon and decided to inquire about the status of the other items and was assured that it would be November. Perfect I thought. Later got a call that they had mixed up my order with somebody else and now I was looking at end of January for the eremaining items. Delays happen, but if I had not inquired they never would have notified me until the next delivery and nothing would have arrived. The sofa from Gander came in with 2 tears in the leather so now if we wanted another one, we needed 8-10 weeks more waiting instead of them checking it 5 weeks ago and we could have ordered a new one then. Needless to say we now have no sofa. Bed from the "local vendor" arrived in the same delivery and while no damage, upon putting it together, found 2 pieces to be missing which prevented the bed from being used. Called out and was told they would try and find the parts tomorrow. So now nowhere to sit and nowhere to sleep and nothing coming until January.
Order cancelled and will never deal with them again, nor should you if you actually want to get what you are buying in...

Arrived at Leon's for their boxing day sales after noticing on their website that the Collier Sofa and Loveseat were both discounted.
The sales representative had informed me that the website pricing could not have been for the St. John's location, he proceeded to a computer and selected the Elizabeth Avenue location like I had at home and confirmed that this pricing was indeed what I had stated. He left to check with management who informed him that this was an error and they will not match these prices.
I chose to purchase only the Sofa as it was an additional $120 from the advertised website pricing(as was the loveseat). No stock was available which led to a two week delivery time for a couch from their Gander location.
I have since learned that they did indeed match the website pricing for some and not others, I know of at least one individual who had purchase this exact same Sofa and Loveseat and was given pricing which matched their website seeing as he had also selected the Elizabeth Avenue location.
I would not recommend this location as I have incurred an additional $120 charge for a Sofa, did not leave with a matching loveseat as originally intended, and was forced to wait two weeks after purchasing the Sofa before it finally arrived(from Gander). I cannot recall in recent memory where I had a shopping experience in which I was met with such dishonesty as I was with...
