I have been shopping here for years with a few disappointing visits and decided to give them a second chance. My first concern was a few years ago when I bought a peony and it did not bloom all season. I was aware there was a "plant guarantee" so I called and spoke to a staff member who told me that the guarantee was not valid that year because "it was a funny growing season, if it does not bloom next call us back". The next year the same thing happened and I called and the response I got was "well, I guess you're just a bad gardener" and would still not stand behind their guarantee. I also thought this was a strange response as they never asked me any questions as to how I was caring for it. This year we back and a staff person overheard me talking about aphids on my honeysuckle and suggested "SAFER end all". We bought it and it has not worked. I emailed the company to ask if I was using it wrong and was told they could not help me further than what the instructions said so I followed up with the Nursery. I was told this is a "Sharon issue" and could only speak to her. After some telephone tag back and forth, I decided to email her to ask about a refund as the bottle clearly notes "guarantee" and I was unable to work the the actual company to get this. I still have not received an email or call back. I would happily consider changing my review if there was some customer service that was happening at this location and am hoping this post may "nudge" someone there to actually follow up with me. Thanks for reading. In response to the owners response below: Thanks for responding to my post, was hoping for someone to actually follow up with me personally (the customer service I was hoping for). I have planted peonies for years and never had a problem I did call the store for the store credit and was denied and this was 5 years ago so I do not have "proof" of the purchase. I also was using the Safer end all spray every day for 2 weeks and ended up just using my fingers to get them. I do not understand why a customer has to work so hard to keep a company true to it's ethics. I have called the store multiple times and emailed and I do not I should have to call again when the business should be true to its commitment to the customer. Happy for a call or email back which Sharon...

They made some changes to the Scarecrow Stroll this year!!
The Scarecrow Stroll has been relocated to the middle of their outdoor space.
This new placement for is perfect for those who are mobility challenged. We can stay dry and still enjoy the event. The path is on the flat surface making it is easier for the walker to get through. I love the themes, pumpkin selection and even a pumpkin washing station!!
Great prices and it is local.... We always put local farms and Canadian products first!! We bought 4 gourds for decoration and 3 pumpkins to carve.
I did hear some comments from others who are disappointed the Stroll has been reduced in size and that their children can not run through the property like before...
Visitors should remember this is a working farm / business. People with challenges and diversity come to enjoy the event without "little person" energy... There are lots of interactive parks near by designed for these little muffins to go run and play. Most are free too!!
Admission to the Scarecrow Stroll is by donation on weekends... it isn"t much and it is for local charities!!
Art's Nursery has fabulous products and puts on amazing events throughout the year -always including and inviting other community partners to join!!
Thank you for making a difference and for making your Nursery accessible to...
Read moreCharging $6.99 per person on Friday, Saturdays and Sundays just to walk through a small setup of pumpkins and displays is not only unnecessary but feels greedy.
The space itself isn’t special. There are no animals, no fields to explore, and very little for kids to do other than look at pumpkins stacked around or old scarecrows from previous years. It is a store essentially. It’s more of a cheap photo backdrop than an actual fall experience. For the money, you get almost nothing.
The worst part is how they justify the fee by saying it benefits charities. A real donation should be optional and come from generosity. Attaching it to admission at a commercial nursery feels manipulative. Businesses often use “donations” like this as a way to benefit themselves through tax deductions, not because they’re truly giving back.
There are plenty of farms where you can take your family, enjoy the outdoors, and make a day of it without paying a gate fee for something so underwhelming. Many local farms include free pumpkins, hay rides, play areas, impressive photo structures, petting farms, apple picking and corn mazes.
Arts Nursery is cashing in on the season,...
