Northwood Community Centre — Local services in Toronto

I used to come here for the 4-hour drop-in volleyball program. They cut down the hours into 2. I stopped going ever since because 2 hours is too short for me.

One time I went here (08/27/24), the doors to the gym were locked and no staff were around to open it by 7pm (it's the time stated for them to open the gym for volleyball program). Waited 30 mins and no staff were present. There was no notice either for them to let us know that the program is canceled. 15+ people were here with me. Waste of gas and time. Ain't worth coming here tbh

We visited the Northwood Community Centre to attend a wedding. The facility was clean, the restrooms were clean, and the hall was well-lit. The waiting area was cool too and there was free wifi. The downside for me was perhaps the parking lot. If you have a big event, spillovers may have to park somewhere along the streets. Whilst the immediate surroundings were neat, the garden behind the sitting area outside surely needed to be "groomed". The facility manager was friendly and was seen going around to get things going. During a walk, today, in the Northwood Park, Just to the right of the bridge over the gorge close to the parking lot, I walked on the small ascending trail that led me to the clean and well maintained community center surrounded by a spectacular area.
