Check-in was great. The front desk staff was awesome. The starter even let us take off early as there was not a group in front of us. We were one hole ahead of everybody, and it felt great not being pushed from behind and we definitely kept up with pace. However, three times during our round the course Marshall Advised us to keep up with pace, even though by whole seven, we were already on the heels of another group in front of us and there is absolutely no one behind us. I felt it was a little bit intimidating and also quite annoying to have the Marshall tell us to keep up with pace when there is absolutely zero people behind us. By whole 16 there was a twosome waiting for us to finish our hole. By hole 17 and 18, we did not see the twosome behind us. Why the course Marshall Felt the power to tell us to increase. Our pace was very frustrating As he should’ve been talking to the foursome ahead of us, which we waited for two holes. If this is the procedure at this golf course, I definitely will not be coming back whatsoever . At Hole 10 Based on the clock, we were actually five minutes ahead of schedule. Further training needs to be done with your course Marshalls. I golf all across North America and have never had this kind of pressure, especially since we were definitely on pace. We started at 12:39 PM and we finished at 4:06 PM. Why the pressure from the Marshall is beyond me. I will not be...
Read moreGreen Tee Golf Club in Aldergrove has become one of my favourite spots, both for personal play and when hosting clients or prospects. The course is always in fantastic condition—honestly, it’s one of the best-maintained courses I’ve ever played. The bent grass greens and fairways are consistently top-notch, and you can tell a lot of care goes into keeping everything looking and playing beautifully.
The layout is such a great mix of challenging and enjoyable, especially for someone like me who’s into Long Drive. The fairways are well-defined, and the mix of bunkers and water hazards keeps things interesting without feeling overwhelming. It’s a course that keeps me coming back, not just for its quality but also for the stunning setting—it’s hard to beat the views of the Fraser Valley.
Beyond the incredible course, what really makes Green Tee special is the staff. They’re always so welcoming and attentive, creating an atmosphere that feels both professional and friendly. Whether it’s the warm greeting at the clubhouse or the helpful advice from staff out on the course, they truly make every visit memorable.
What really stands out to me is how the JK World Group has elevated this course to a whole new level. They’ve created a space that sets the bar for what a world-class golf course should be. Whether I’m there for a casual round or to make an impression with clients, it’s always a...
Read morePagoda Ridge, or “GreenTee Country Club” as the new owners like to call it, in general is a good golf course in Langley, BC. It’s in good shape overall, and the patio and pro shop staff are very good. But – it’s not all “Beyond Luxury”. There is no clubhouse. No Range. Practice cages with holes in the netting. The tent that covers the patio is gone in the winter. The kitchen/bar is not always open, especially in the off season. The fairways are meticulously cut – yet wild black berries are allowed to grow from the rough well onto the fairways in places. The hazards are not red staked properly, and much of the non-groomed rough is in terrible shape. The pin placements on the greens are frequently illegal and totally ridiculous. Green fees are in general overpriced. The rumour is that the current annual membership players might not be able to renew in 2023. Green fee play has declined dramatically in the last two years. If annual membership players are not able to renew in 2023 the course will become very empty and almost unused on many days. Of course, we all hear the course wants to go private in the future – but why turn the place into a virtual ghost town before that happens? Without a clubhouse and other improvements, going private might be a fantasy...
