I lived on this.island from @1942-45.I remember the end of ww2 Used blue coupons to buy meat. There was a 'van'with a soda fountain.bowling alley & curling rink.My mom curled while we watched from soda fountain area through large plate glass windows.I had a twin sister +a younger sister.My parents were Ed & Martha Andrecheck.We all moved to Toronto @1945. One time they were open pit mining and we all.had to go.to.the golf club at far end of the island for fear of...
