The Finnish Sauna — Local services in Vancouver

Six of us had fun at our sauna experience because we made it fun. My concern is that the sauna itself is a tight space. We were ten people, half of whom were, thankfully, lovely strangers. The max capacity is apparently 13 but had that been the case, our party would have left. As it stood, one person in our group bailed because she didn’t think her body would fit. Not a triumphant feeling at all for me, the organizer, given that we did this yesterday, on March 8th, International Women’s Day. The sauna does not provide towels and the area to change in is strangely gender mixed which does not feel safe. I’d recommend seriously rethinking your practices to take into account average body sizes and safety for all. Also, tell clients at booking that towels...

I cannot say enough great things about the Finnish Sauna. We were a group of five and we had the best time. The sauna was absolutely spotless and in great condition. The location in Squamish by the river was absolutely beautiful. Having a railing to get down into the river and a nice sandy spot to do the cold plunge was a great feature! No slipping on wet rocks! We truly enjoyed sitting in the sauna and watching the river flow. Valtteri was super easy to deal with and very accommodating. The addition of the warm tent for changing and relaxing was great. We rented a sauna for the week and it was even better than expected, the sauna was delivered and set up right at the house and provided the best après ski experience to be social and recover after a great day on the mountains. The whole experience coordinating (and even arranging to keep the sauna for an extra day) was so easy. The Finnish Sauna team checked in to make sure everything was going well.
