I live within walking distance of this location and the I have been in this neighborhood for almost 10 years now and we were all very excited for this store to come up. The reason for my review is for improvement as we need a well run store within our neighborhood. Last weekend my wife purchased Salman skewers worth almost $30 snd when she got home I was bbq these skewers and clearely you could see they were not fresh at all. Once we tried eating them pretty much every one of them was tossed in the garbage as they were rotten. This also happened to my friend down the street and she went back to voice her displeasure and pretty much she got attitude due to trying to return them back. Customer service none whatsoever in my opinion. The other point is that we are paying a premium for most of these products at this location so at minimum we should be getting the best quality out there. Today I just purchased skewers at Fortinos that I have shopped for many many years now and never had a problem and as you can see these are quality and fresh as we expect to get especially when you are paying premium pricing. In any case the store is well set and with a good variety of selection, it is priced high but again as long as you get the premium product you pay for it can be somewhat justified but not for rotten food now happening...

Today I was holding 4 items yet the attendant ran over to me and stood there while I scanned everything although I didnât ask for help. Another 2 ladies came to checkout and surprise surprise she only ran to the other Black customer while leaving the non Black customer to freely scan her purchases. Not sure if this is part of their training or inherent personal bias but it is not the first time experiencing this in this store my husband as well. This is disappointing as I was so excited to have a grocery store within a 5 min radius of my home after being in Kleinburg for 4+ years but I will gladly drive the extra 10 mins to Fortinos or Walmart for my own dignity. A few days later, I returned to do the same, but the payment wouldnât go through (the card was completely fine; it was THEIR machines). Instead of receiving help or any kind of solution, I was met with a disgusting attitude from an older white woman employee who dismissed my concerns by saying, âAll the machines are the same. Either pay it or you don't.â Other customers were having the same issue and were given the same attitude. There was a complete lack of training, customer service, or even basic human empathy.
