I’ve played Crowbush several times, and even though it’s the most expensive green fee on the Island, it offers incredible value in comparison to similar calibre courses in Canada and the USA. The modern links design put together by McBroom makes you feel as though you’ve seen all of the terrain PEI has to offer, while getting to play some interesting and challenging golf shots along the way. The conditions often represent what you’d hope to play in on a links course, bringing wind and decision-making into play on every shot. We played just a day after the remnants of a tropical storm came through, dumping some 40 mm of rain on the course the day prior, but you wouldn’t know it as the sand base of the course drains so well. My only bugaboo would be the speed of the greens. We were told they were just cut down the shortest in a while, but they were still rather slow, with downhill putts you would normally worry about getting too far past the hole actually coming up short. To be fair, given the overnight rain, this might have been all that could have been offered for that day in particular. I always love checking out the pro shop, because the logo is iconic and they have lots of great options for merch. Overall a fascinating test and treat, make some time for a round or two at Crowbush if you’re planning an East Coast golf trip!

The course overall is quite good. It is challenging (although we played in late September, so all the fescue was cut down), this was a bit disappointing as you could kind of spray it off the tee and be okay. The green complexes are tough, they roll fast and true, staying below the hole is key. Unfortunately the GPS doesn't show you green contours and they don't have yardage books. Biggest disappointment for such a nice course and facility is the driving range being short, they say 150 max and the dining facilities after have a cafeteria feel and the food was below average. The pro shop is stocked quite well with some nice merchandise and friendly staff, the starter was also great.

this is one of the renowned golf courses in canada, previously making it on the top 10 list, and located just 25minutes from charlottetown, PEI. i seem to remember more trees on the course from when i played years ago ,and indeed, on discussion with some of the longstanding members, hurricane fiona took out a lot of the trees on the course, making it really open now and much more in the links style of play. the greens are highly countoured and challenging, and despite the heavy rains the days preceding the round, the ground was in pretty good shape. there is challenging use of water and the views on the water are very nice. value for money is moderate. would return.

Beautiful course, friendly people, but unfortunately the course policy and inflexible management team ruined a day of our vacation. We were booked to play on our last day on the island. We had planned to bring our young son to ride along - as we have done many times at many prestigious courses across the country. He loves it and has better course etiquette than your average foursome of dude bros. When we arrived to play, we were informed that children are not allowed on the course, and he could not ride along with us. We explained that we did not know this, and that if he can't play we obviously have no way to get him a babysitter on vacation immediately, and we can't golf somewhere else last minute without a tee time. They were kind and apologetic, but unwilling to make any exceptions/accommodations, or to try and make the situation right in any way. We had no choice but to split our group so only two of us could golf while the others went to the playground with our son.

Bottom line - management has a rigid policy about children on the course which is not posted anywhere, and they were equally rigid in refusing to make the situation right. Ruined our final day on the island. I think the policy is silly, but I'm more concerned with how little the team did to try and make this situation right in which we, the customer, did nothing wrong. We bore all of the consequences for their mistake in not displaying the...

The course is absolutely stunning and have some of the best views I’ve seen in Canada, especially along the ocean. The layout is fun and challenging, and Holes 11 and 16 are worth the hype.

That said, the overall experience didn’t live up to the course’s reputation. I had to rent a club I forgot at home and was surprised to be charged $25 for an average putter, asked for a $100 deposit, and made to sign multiple forms. I’ve never encountered anything like that at any other course, including some more prestigious than Crowbush. After the round, I gave the putter to the cart staff and even went to the clubhouse to inform the staff. Despite that, I was woken up at 5–6am the next morning with multiple phone calls accusing me of not returning it. They later found it had been misplaced by their own team — but never followed up to let me know the issue was resolved.

On top of that, we were being rushed around the course despite playing at a perfectly reasonable pace, which really took away from the experience. At this price point, you’d expect a more relaxed and welcoming atmosphere.

The setting is world-class, but the staff policies and overall vibe didn’t match. Hoping they improve the guest experience, because the course itself is...
