This an absolute must do experience! We had a ton of fun and really enjoyed it. On a clear day, it is beautiful and the views are quite amazing. I would absolutely recommend doing this. It is a little expensive but honestly I think it's worth it. There are quite a few things I would take into account though, and I think the sign up process/website and everything else could be improved drastically.
The website is quite unclear with what the experience exactly is, what the limitations are, and the best way to do things. For example, I was not 100% sure if the sky bridge was included in the 360 experience when signing up. It was unclear as to whether or not you had to start at whistler village or the Blackcomb gondola, and if you could go up and down on the same one or if you had to go in a loop and return down the opposite side. It also did not mention that you take the peak to peak (roundhouse to rendezous) multiple times with the same ticket. It does not mention how long the gondola takes on the website, and I thought it was unclear that you can take the gondola up at 5:00pm for the last time but then you can take it down anytime until 745. Also, the email you get when you buy the tickets does not give you an exact address to go to, so that is a little difficult to find. It was also in the fine print of the email (something a lot of people probably don't read and I didn't read until later) that you need to go to the service center to get your tickets printed. It was confusing when we got there to understand exactly where to go and where to start. Also, the parking situation is quite difficult and it took us a while to park. There were no parking recommendations on the email confirmation and it would have been nice to know that in the summer, even with 5 large lots, that you will struggle to find parking. Had I known some of these things I think we would have come earlier to have more time to hike around, sitesee and spend time riding the gondola twice instead of once. The peak express was awesome and wish we could have spent more time up there.
All in all, it was an awesome day, but I feel like the information and messaging could be greatly improved on the website and on the confirmation email you get for...
Read moreOn a gloriously sun-kissed summer day, I found myself amid the enchanting beauty of Whistler, captivated by the splendor of the landscape that unfolded before my eyes. The scene was straight out of a dream – the towering peaks adorned in their majestic alpine glory, as if they were lifted from the pages of a fairy tale.
As I gazed at the peaks that reached for the heavens, a sense of awe washed over me. The peaks stood like guardians, cloaked in lush greenery that contrasted against the brilliant blue sky. The air was crisp and invigorating, carrying the sweet scent of wildflowers that dotted the landscape.
The tranquility of the moment was punctuated by the distant chirping of birds and the gentle rustling of leaves. I found a sense of peace in the symphony of nature, a serenity that spoke to the soul.
As I marveled at the alpine wonderland, I couldn't help but think of the grandeur of the Alps. The peaks before me held their own, exuding an aura of timeless magnificence. It was as if nature herself had painted this masterpiece with strokes of green and blue.
Whistler's peaks, aptly named "Peak to Peak," offered a glimpse of nature's grand design, a reminder of the marvels that our world has to offer. This was a moment to savor – a memory etched in my heart, of a beautiful summer day where I stood amidst the peaks, absorbing the sights and sounds that felt like a reverie...
Read moreThe trip up the main gondola was incredible. It took about 20 minutes but was relaxing - sadly we didn't see any bears below but I'm sure you could. Anyway, we got up to the peak to peak at exactly nine but it didn't open until quarter past eventually. The cars to take you across were a lot bigger than the main cars on the gondola up, and you went across with about another ten people. The ride was nice, there were some very pretty views on the way over. We were also greeted on arrival by some friendly marmots! There are some lovely walks to go on but I went on the shortest, the alpine loop, which took us to some pretty viewpoints and nice photo opportunities. I recommend this trip to anyone in the area but have a few recommendations first. Don't wait for the glass bottomed cars to come. They are different every day but you don't see much more anyway, you get just as good views in a normal car you don't have to wait for, and leave early to go up. It gets very busy later in the day with bikers and other people going to have things like picnics up the mountains, so leave early for the main gondola and head straight to the peak to peak for the least busy experience. I hope this review was useful and gave you some ideas of what to do whilst...
