A group of four from Kelowna BC decided Superfly looked fun…we were wrong it was AWESOME! We arrived early intending to take in some whiffle golf which was hilarious as we couldn’t find any right hand clubs so we decided that left hand golf was now a thing, laughing hard we did nine holes surprisingly all our scores were the same.. Then on to Ax Throwing unfortunately I cannot remember the names of our instructors but the two young ladies were funny and also supportive of us especially when we didn’t stick the axes. Karl did get a bullseye but shear dumb luck. Then on to AOC (aerial obstacle course) where Lily and Abby led us through demo, green, blue and black they were great and supportive Julie and Madeleine not only did great but had fun too Julie joined the boys for the black diamond set and did amazing. We stopped at double black as we had to move on to our reservation on 12:30 zip line. We joined a very nice couple from Holland and off we went in two side by side off road vehicles. Kiersten, Romee and Mikey were our guides they were outstanding their banter was funny and a bit competitive which added to the whole experience, there was one zip where Mikey didn’t help the other two get out of their harnesses and they mocked him and did it their selves. Mikey should be a stand up comedian…the zip lines are really really fun, fast and beautiful scenery. A suggestion would be have a leader board of the oldest and youngest to complete various stages. Successful completion of the zips and back to base camp we went. Two of us (Ric and Karl) decided we would like to Finnish AOC double black and red Romee agreed to be our guide for that and it was intense but we finished it! Thank you Superfly and all four highly recommend anyone to...
Read moreApril 25 was my first zip line tour experience, and indeed it was a great one. Godzilla was my favorite line! Our guides were Warrick and Klara, and they kept it fun. We did a zip line tour the next day with a different company and it was a good time as well, but the guides were all business until the end. I liked Warrick and Klara's approach. They were both professional but personable from the outset.
If you are afraid of heights and have a hard time jumping off, the guides are the ones who manually release you, when you are ready. Their harnesses keep you in a seated position and you won't twist around backwards like the other company's harness system. You can't go upside down like the other company, but that's not a drawback for some.
Another thing I liked about Superfly is they have lockers you control instead of giving your stuff to someone else. They provide goggles and helmets. They also have bathrooms on the mountain which the other company didn't have.
Finally, I don't know the measured speeds, but I'm certain we went faster on Superfly than the other company's zip lines.
One recommendation...walk to your pickup spot in Whistler instead of driving to it. We chose pickup at the Four Seasons and they charge for parking, $5 per hour. Our condo was less than a mile away and pretty much everything in Whistler is within walking distance.
You will have a blast....
Read moreAnyone (except very young children) can participate. I visited twice (late March and early September) and already can't wait to experience this again! The base camp is neatly tucked in the Cougar Mountain area (15 min. drive from Whistler Village). Whistler Taxis are easily available (great service, arrives within 10-15 min. of a booking) between Whistler Village and the SuperFly Base Camp. The Camp has a front desk where you would check-in. A locker room is provided for personal belongings. A thorough safety briefing takes place thereafter. The participants are given the necessary gear, after which they are driven to the point where all the Fun starts! Through and through, each representative / official is very friendly, assuring and supportive of your journey of about 2.5 hours in total (check-in to completion). Jenna and Jack were really professional at their work throughout! The Base Camp also has a bonfire set up with chairs, to enjoy a warm time after "flying" through the Valleys. A great experience for anyone looking to make the visit to Whistler,...
