Mom's Pantry — Local services in Winnipeg

My university class placed a fundraising order, received the order on November 1st, 2022 - incomplete- with 18 tubs of dough missing. The delivery process for this dough order was also a huge headache. We were given a date for delivery and it ended up coming a week or more earlier with less than 24 hours notice. Not delivered to a location with a fridge as first discussed, due to the date being changed for the delivery and less than 24 hours notice given, but unloaded on the grass in front of our University. This is a problem when we are dealing with about 500 tubs of frozen dough. We contacted them about it the same day and they said they would fix the issue and resend us the missing dough. It is now January 18th and we have yet to be sent any dough (or issued a refund) or given any tracking information/other information on what is happening. On January 9th, we were told that they had already sent us the missing dough, but they lost the tracking information. Our contact then said that they would send us the missing dough 'again' that day and give us the tracking information. We have not had any contact from them since then. I do not recommend working with this company as they are VERY difficult to work with and contact. Today I went to Moms Pantry to pick up a few deals. It is a great store. I have severe mobility issues from RA so I travel with a helper. I saw the sign re social diatancing so we walked in after a couple people left. We were met by a young woman with long dark hair. She said ONLY ONE. I told her I needed some one to help me. She said then you both wait outside. We did I waited by the door and he in the car When someone else walked out I moved towards the door The woman appears at the door and tells Me to move out of the way making a shooing motion..she said I'm blocking the door. When I entered she said I'm sorry but it's the rules and walked away. He cool demeanor never changed as I cashed out An nicer older lady did help me carry out the box. Disability is a human right. Drove by today and saw the sign outside advertising 5 pounds of rib eye for $75.00. Stopped, was told that there were six steaks per box, bought a box (frozen) went home and got the bbq ready.

Well, I was surprised to find only three large frozen pieces in my box and they looked like they were cut by an amateur with an axe. Worse, when cooked medium rare, they were the toughest, most gristle-ridden steaks I have ever encountered. Impossible to chew, with more gristle than meat. They were DEFINITELY NOT RIB EYES.
