We visited on a Tuesday. It was OK, but Wednesday and Saturday are the days when the market is busiest. Upstairs you can find locally produced clothing and knock off shoes. Downstairs is fruit, vegetables, meat and fish. The surrounding market stalls sell everything else. For furniture try the old...

Mir gefällt das bunte Treiben hier. Hier gibt es fast alles zu kaufen. Frisches Obst und Gemüse, Fleisch, Fisch, von Kosmetika bis zu Kleidung, Schuhen - einfach alles. Hier erlebt man die inseltypische Freundlichkeit und auch als Tourist kann man sich sicher fühlen. Normalerweise stimmen die Preise, mir ist jedoch beim letzten Besuch aufgefallen, dass manche HändlerInnen die Tendenz haben mehr zu verlangen, also vorher etwas umschauen. Markttage sind Mittwoch und Samstag. Das sollte man unbedingt gesehen haben - und etwas mehr Zeit einplanen, die Angebote reichen auch in die umliegenden...

Came here by accident on a Monday. It looked very open people were very friendly and never rude. Very much worth a visit for souvenirs, clothes, fruit& vegetables...
