Deceptive Panda Gu Valley—don’t bother coming here for the next 70 days!
The Red Panda Exhibition Hall is no longer open to the public, yet they shamelessly charge full-price tickets! Even the Dagu Glacier Café, under renovation, knows to halve their coffee prices. Here, without the red pandas, more than half the joy for visitors is gone, and yet they mercilessly keep charging full price!
This month, even the Swan Lake area is closed—see the attached image!
On top of that, the official ticket sneakily includes a forced 6 RMB pendant fee. An official park resorting to bundling sales? How ridiculous! If visitors forget to pick it up, don’t know where to collect it, or overlook it, they’re essentially being scammed out of 6 RMB! To borrow words from Fan Zhiyi: shameless!
People come to Panda Gu Valley specifically to see red pandas, as this is the only place that has them. But what a massive disappointment! If visitors just wanted to see giant pandas, they could have gone to Wolong or the Breeding Base instead. Wolong has many pandas, including stars like Fubao and Shengyi, while the Breeding Base boasts the famous Hua Hua. Why come here just to see 15 pandas? If 13 of them are sleeping, there’s hardly anything to see!
Before buying tickets, there was no notice about the red panda exhibit being closed! Visitors only discover this rip-off after buying tickets and walking in, greeted by a lousy notice. Had they known, they wouldn’t have come at all! What a waste of money and time! This is textbook fraud—tricking customers into coming and then failing to deliver on promises.
