貴陽大劇院位於貴陽市中心，是貴陽市的文化藝術重鎮，許多藝文演出都在此舉行，包括歌舞團的及貴陽交響樂團的定期演出。 貴陽交響樂團成立多年，除了跟大陸眾多知名音樂家合作外，也曾聘請了世界一流指揮Rico Saccani大師擔任總監及延攬許多海內外知名樂手、首席等，可惜後來經營方針有些變化，因此18年後恢復一般地方樂團水平。 劇院裡設備還算可以，當地觀眾的水準在大陸來說還稱得上文明，基本上都會記得關手機，但是演出時用手機拍照、划手機等行為仍舊層出不窮。 如果你有機會去大陸西南地方旅行，或許除了觀看千篇一律、帶有樣板色彩的"豪華大型歷史歌舞劇"之外，也應抽空欣賞一場古典音樂演出囉！

苗組舞蹈很好看，唯一可惜的是很多人遲到，工作人員並未按照指示牌等中場休息再帶遲到的人進去，我一共站起讓了四次遲到的人進出，工作人員的安排很差，這讓我沒看到等刀山的表演。如果一直有人進出座位要我一直站起身讓人通過，我個人就不會想參加這種劇台表演，這樣很多表演都看不到
