白居寺位於日喀則市江孜縣境內，地處江孜縣駐地江孜鎮西北方向的宗山腳下，南、北、東三面環山，寺院四面臨水。 白居寺，藏語稱「班廓曲德」，意為「吉祥輪勝樂大寺」，通常簡稱「吉祥輪寺」，漢文「白居寺」即此藏語簡稱的音譯。白居寺創建於15世紀中葉的前半期（1418年至1436年）。因為歷史悠久，精美的建築保留完整，宗教價值特別，寺院塔內保存有完好且數量很多的精美壁畫及造像，故於1998年被列為第四批全國重點文物保護單位。[2] 白居寺由寺院、吉祥多門塔、扎倉、圍牆組成，為明代建築。江靈敏度法王繞丹貢桑帕和一世班禪克珠傑共同主持興建了該寺。克珠傑（1386年－1438年）早年隨薩迦派仁達哇等高僧學習佛法，很快成為精通五明的佛學大師。1413年，繞丹貢桑帕（1389年－1442年）為在江孜地區弘傳佛教，乃邀請克珠傑到江孜主持教務，並且將江孜莊園與上部城堡兩地闢為建寺用地，於1418年藏曆6月2日動工興建，1425年藏曆2月14日竣工。該寺為三層平頂藏式建築，平面為壇城模型，由大殿、法王殿、護法神殿、金剛界殿、羅漢殿、道果殿、無量宮...
